i understand that christie no longer good enough for the all whites (or is he really?)

but i don't understand the hate

he's a nice guy and very inoffensive

he tries hard and by new zealand standards (especially at the time) has played at a decent level

we are not spain.  we have a long track record of midfield grafters; players that lack the flashy skills, but try to do a job

hardly a hateable offence on his part

Ok Ricki.

Three for me, and two for them.

Keith had Morrison training on his own on Tuesday. Too many pints at the races?

Got red carded last week. Not in the match day squad.

After losing to waibopalula last week must win - and win well - vs Wandering Kids SC this weekend.

Morrison seemed to be involved a little but knee was bandaged and watched the majority.. more interesting was Luke Marsland and Murphy training by themselves up the other end of Tullett, possibly too many drinks for those two

International clearance all done for Federico Marquez so will be be heading north to players Wanderers SC  tomorrow.

Dan Terris is away with Juylan Collett back this week so likely to be a straight swap.

Sounds like fun and games down south the reports on their YF Forum board that Tom Batty has been dropped for Southern United after being player of day in the opening round. Sounds like the fan down sounth not too impressed with ths new SU coach.

I see on the ASB Prem website that Murph was listed in squad but now showing as

6- Chris MURPHY - out

Congrats to young Jayden Booth for the dragons call up. FTC and Canterbury School of Football product under Ceri Evans for 3 years, then boys high if I'm not mistaken.

I think take the Wanderers side at your peril. These kids will play and acquit themselves well.

Dragons ripe for the taking, players out and untried combinations playing a side that shouldn't be in the competition out to prove they should be, slippery banana time.

Tom was player of the day in the eyes of the fans watching. Pod from the coach went to to a player that got dragged off not injured after 65 minutes go figure that.

Next goal for Canterbury will be their 250th ASB Premiership goal.

And there it is.  A long throw that bounces over the keeper (although he gets a touch) and we're up 2-1. OG or the thrower?

Has to be an OG. You cannot score direct from a throw.

Three for me, and two for them.

Still 2 - 1 to Canty with 10 to go was Kamo chopped down on area but no penalty given.

From what I hear we were pretty much played off the park in the first 45 but scored from a lucky long throw. Keith no doubt put the wind up em at HT and we improved but kids being kids: never say die, came back and got a deserved equaliser.
So did we underestimate them or were they simply better than us in the first stanza?

They were better.

Team obviously missing Claps & maybe Wellbourn in support of Kamo upfront this year?

And Darren White/Andy Barton as wide attacking midfielders and Dimitar Bayrev at the back. Also Josh Smith who had such a high workrate in midfield, thought young Corey Mitchell would fill that role but probably a season short of maturity. We are notoriously slow starters so expect to improve hugely but Auckland may be a week or two early for us. 5-1 up there pre season, wouldn't expect that this time around but tough ask to win it. Hopefully we will get a good crowd, playing the top sides always seems to bring out the best in the Dragons.

Spot on, Dimitar Bayrev was the striker I think you mean Vladamir at the back?

Will be a good game this weekend hopefully the weather can hod up it's end.
