Kalian Gould back in town I hear? But not Olympic? Any goss Shambles?
Heard he was unhappy about playing time and was going home for a wedding. No idea about where he is going next but he put up an IG post before he left announcing he was moving on from them. No Idea where he was going but there would be a few coaches rubbing their hands at getting a hold of him.
Auckland Utd need goals, so that would be a good move for both of them. He works full time as a screen printer so I am sure that he could go do "coaching" with them up there
My pics for the weekend. No draws, all gas, no breaks. Olympic beat the weenix 4-1 in preseason I think it could be that again based on recent form from both.
Stop out are having a tough time and Karori are up and down.
There doesn't seem to be many that will stop Napier at the moment.
Petone are a bit of a wild card.
If I was a betting man I'd put a tenner on +3 goal victories for Miramar, Olympic & Napier City this weekend.
I've got both other matches down for draws though to be honest. 🙊
after the first couple of rounds I'm not betting on anything
1 wrong from me. Petone had a man sent off and capitulated after that. Good thing I’m not a punter either otherwise I’d have some hungry kids this week 😂
Hard to predict the result. City Rovers seem to be struggling at home to put together a full 90 yet on the road they can't stop scoring. Miramar have started very well this year and have a solid home record against City Rovers.
Just had to comment - today I watched a bit of the Olympic vs Miramar game on Veo Live. The camera is stationed right above the benches.
What absolutely embarrassing behaviour from both sets of coaches and benches. Screaming blue murder any time one of their players got touched, abusing each others benches, abusing the refs, abusing the fourth official. Both clubs need to pull their heads in and realise they’re setting a standard and an example for the many youth that we’re watching live or acting as ball boys.
I respect it’s a highly contested derby game between two contenders, but it seems to be rife across the CL for sharkhouse behaviour for teams.

100% These clubs are the very worst abusers. They think its ok to unleash abuse at every opportunity and to who ever. Do that on the streets and you'd get arrested.
Players feed off that and feel they are obliged to do the same.
CF need to have a presence. No point having a requirement for U20s in squads when these young men are exposed to this abuse!
Would have loved to have seen that 95th minute winner from NCR v Petone just before.
Just a shame the camera was focused on a ball on the other side of the field near the halfway line...🙃
Haha that's classic. Typical half arse set up. It doesn't make it an easy watch with those cameras. Anyone else have issue with Fifa+? My drops out every 5 minutes...
Different note. I can't help but feel that young Sam Lack is wasted at Rovers. Love to see him get a chance with Nix res team.

Yeah it was very annoying in that instance, but for the most part I find it decent enough. I mean, it's not the Premier League in terms of ability to have multiple cameras and all that dollar heavy technology, and I'm more than happy there is an increased ability to broadcast local football via FIFA + overall, but there are definitely a few glitches to iron out to avoid that sort of stuff from happening week on week.
I've not had any other issues with FIFA + though to be honest. I mostly just cast the games I'm watching from my phone to the tv (which seems to be the best way to do it) so if they can sort out the ball tracking technology, or refine it so the camera doesn't developing a wandering eye as often as it currently does then I'll be happy.

The two simplest solutions is to stop the ball kids from throwing the balls around and to make Bill Robertson wear a hat for the AI doesn’t think another ball has entered the pitch.

Yeah the camera was very disappointing in the Rovers/Petone game. watched the replay after being at the game and so frustrating didn't see Sam Lack's goal or Oscar Faulds' big time celebration after his goal in the first half. camera missing in action. better than nothing tho, so gotta give NZF some credit for getting things shown. camera staff at all games would be bloody costly

Can I ask where you were able to watch this game? It wasn't on Fifa+ so was annoyed I had no way of seeing it - but if there's another way to watch the streams for these games that aren't shown on fifa+ I'd love to know! Most of the games they show on fifa+ are just the same teams every week and mostly northern league

The two other ways depend on what camera system the club has in place. Petone use Pixel so their games are often on YouTube, Olympic use Veo so if you download the Veo Live app you can watch their games.
The bonus with the latter is you can hear exactly what the coaches think because the camera is right above the two technical areas.

Awesome, thanks for the response! Will have a look at both those options
How good is this. looks like the Herald does some video story on Napier City Rovers every week ... https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/focus-sport-inside-the-rovers-cup-fever/WYZQQWDIXM5K63EG3JSBKCDI4Q/
Hey been thinking of getting into watching the nix reserves and was just wondering about some things:
Is there any way to watch them digitally because Fifa+ seems unreliable? Also do people turn up often? not saying there should be a massive crowd every game but would just feel a bit awkward if it was just me and like 2 other people lol

Relying on streaming is like trying to win a bonus lotto prize - its pretty good to watch locally when your not freezing your balls off and its free football entertainment so nothing to get awkward over. Just lower your expectations to local league level and you'll be fine. I used to just watch to see how the reserves would play against the bigger local teams like Olympic/Miramar

Concur with this - it's free entertainment and at some clubs like Miramar/Olympic there'll be food to buy. It's a much better experience than watching on FIFA+ (although this is still an improving platform) and much more economic than going to pro games!

The Nix Reserves game against Petone on the 22nd will be the first time this season they get on Fifa+
Some teams seem to get chosen for streaming almost every week
Massive game in the relegation battle next round with North Wellington playing Stop Out.
What has happened at Stop Out this year, Did they lose a fair few players?
From memory, they weren't far off National League Qualification last season and now are in a fight to survive. They only just managed to beat a 4th placed Central Federation League side last week in the Chatham Cup on Penalties too. Tough going for them at the moment.
Isn’t it related to the cameras? Napier and Petone only places FIFA Plus works? Might be wrong
Yeah, depends where they can set up the cameras. For example every match in the SL was streamed this weekend because they were all at grounds the cameras were set up at.

Ah yes you are correct. Perhaps a good Chatham Cup performance this weekend might kick start their season
