Rogerson is really, really good. Needs opportunities in the first team ASAP, he's head and shoulders the best player on the pitch.

Maybe with a manager that is willing to try something different once in a while after the old thing hasn't worked for 2 years will give him a crack.

I agree he has some potential.

In regards to getting a shot... what he does against first team players in training is a far better barometer than today.

Plus who do you drop to put Logan in?

I think a game setting has as much bearing to it as training, with a lower standard of football being the leveller. Not to mention that Logan looked up to the standard in his one game this season.

I'd start him on the bench and have him replace Barba/Krishna late on as necessary and then start him during international windows. I'm not a fan of Fenton or of playing McGlinchey wide and what are the other wide options? Maybe Parkhouse once Doyle is back, but I don't think he's showed enough going forwards (or in defense).

Yep I agree game vs training, I guess I would want to see him giving Tratt or Doyle trouble in a training game before I was convinced if I was the coach.

Fenton is an interesting one, he covers so many positions which is crucial with a 5 man bench.   But yes if Doyle comes back and Parkhouse covers the left side of the field then Logan could be right wing cover.

Still needs to keep proving his case in training though.

If you go with last nights Team and put Doyle in for Parkhouse and replace Fenton on the bench with Parkhouse (who for me has looked impressive after a shaky start to the season), then your other bench options are Italiano, Ridenton, A-Rod and Lowry.  So potentially could drop Ridenton for Logan.

First time since the 9th round of the 2014/15 season that Auckland City is neither 1st nor 2nd. And that only happens because they are away playing the Club World Cup and have matches in hand.

They lost the opening game which made them last.

Well, actually when the 1st round was done they were top of the league again.

It all adds up to a very exciting match next week away to Eastern Suburbs!

Wanderers will be hoping for a better showing this weekend on TV against Hawkes Bay than they did against the WeeNix

never mind that one game of the round is at Dave Farrington Park on Sunday 2pm KO - Team Wellington v Auckland City

I believe that the Charity Shield (that usually is played at the start of the season) is up for grabs for the winner - not sure what happens if it's a draw

I believe in the event of a draw a penalty shootout will be held to determine the destination of the Charity Cup

God knows why these aren't HD. I suppose Sky would like to sell me some kind  of "HD Ticket". Really exemplafies how backwards they are.

They probably aren't getting paid enough from NZ Football for it to be HD and maybe consider it lucky we are getting a camera at each game and TV coverage for one. At the moment I'm quite happy with what we are getting but I guess I'm comparing that to having nothing from the years before.

I assumed the highlights show was HD - it is a least a lot better quality than this.

My gripe is that they purposely don't upload the quality to youtube.

Oh got ya, yeah have no idea if the highlight show is HD or not, but quality is lost when uploaded to youtube

the highlights show is at very worst top quality SD - I don't have info infront of me but I suspect the Televised game would be HD and the other games with 1 camera would be SD.

I don't really think this is a big issue?  I mean they could easily not load the highlights onto youtube and make you subscribe to see them so anything they do load is a bonus no?

From memory there wasn't youtube highlights last year (not 100% on this) but this season the highlights, the weekly show and the production value has been better than year one so I'm excited to see what happens next season.

No one is saying its a big issue, I just think what he was saying is he would like them in a better quality if sky did have them in a better quality. I'm sure they would upload them on You Tube as HD but as you mention only having one camera that is unlikely.
