Hard to say - but Turner is smashing them in left right and centre at the moment - wonder if Tasman are focusing on getting some of last years back before they try for new players.

Rumour has it you'll need a new 'keeper, lucky you've got a decent one in MPL.

Where's Coey off to? He's playing for Wairarapa with half of our team anyway and I expect most of them to come back.

Never really rated Coey anyway, too many brain explosions to play National League.

In the last couple of season's he has obviously been working on that side of his game and has nowhere near the amount that he used to have at Nelson Suburbs, where any goalkeeping blunder was known as "doing a Coey"

his main issue these days giving away penalties

That would be some move, but expect Canterbury if not Tasman.

He has certainly improved, however I think giving away penalties on the regular still qualifies as "brain explosions".

I've noticed that his distribution has come on a long way though but his attitude is always going to be his limiting factor.

I think the Dragon's have more pressing issues than keepers.

Can confirm I have heard the same re Turipa. Good relationship with WG.

Good question!

Can confirm I have heard players in that list have been given deadlines to commit to TU - or they will look elsewhere. Some deadlines are this week.

Ermal is still in NZ at the moment, is he definitely gone? And since when is Ridsdale good enough for Team Welly!? Coey isn't much of a loss if we can get Corey Wilson.

Kristian Gibson and  Joey Turner will be big adds, as will a competent coach for an entire season. Even if all of the above leave, I don't see us being in too bad a spot, we were expecting large turnover.

Would also be surprised if we saw Ifill anywhere except Tasman (or not playing).

Would be grate to see the majority of the squad back! With a good coach from the off who knows what they could achieve.

Alex Ridsdale was one of Tasman's best, especially in that opening half of the season. He's young too. I could see TW being keen on his services.

He started strong but I thought he faded badly, that's at least partially attributable to inept coaching and an unstable team though. He's what, 24? Not super young. I would like to keep him, I'm just surprised TW would be in for him.

Agreed Nelfoos. Ridsdale tidy enough but a starter for TW? I don't think so...

Tasman look unlikely to sign most of the names mentioned by the sounds of things. Rumour has it Ridsdale maybe on the move to Hawks Bay or Eastern Suburbs? Wilson most likely moving to Southern and Canterbury very keen of Gibson. However hopefully they managed to re-sign majority of the squad and build from last year.

First signings announced. Glad to see Lindsay and Allan, I think Allan especially could turn into a very good player with a little bit more experience. Pearson is solid, not completely sold on him but by no means a bad player

Cant edit, on mobile, but link also suggests Davor is confident of signing Corey Wilson

Heard Pearson is returning to the UK? Maybe signing the contract has since changed his mind?

Maybe between now and the season then returning? Or maybe an unreliable source.

Quote from Coey in the article about him signing for Canterbury - "It was tough. All my family is still back in Nelson. I'm playing up here at Wairarapa and my house is full of Tasman United boys, who are going back there."

Looks promsising!

Also Hajdari (now left the country(?)), Ifill, Ridsdale, Callan Elliot (not sure if he turned out for Tasman last season but he's a Waimea College product). I think there's others but can't recall right now. Sam Mason-Smith with ties to the Nelson region as well, would love to sneak him from under Hawke's Bay's nose. Taylor Hall-Jones has played in Nelson previously too.

English striker and former teammate of Robbie Pearson signed. Last 4 seasons in the Weslh Premier League, including scoring the cup winning goal last season.

Seems a decent signing who has been playing at a good level. Solid goalscoring return without being prolific.

Squad is shaping up nicely, only major losses so far seem to be Turipa, who has been replaced, Marowa and Hajdari, and a foreign forward has already been picked up to cover one of those. Should be a good season!

Defensive cover is key if they can't get Luca Perico back. He was solid. Midfield appears sorted for now. Just need a leading scorer and some defenders
