Yes it is neutral but you have two clubs based in the south and east of Wellington travelling to the north.
I guess Newtown is out of play due to Athletics.
At least it is on grass.
Somewhere along the line NZ Football has to recognise that turf is not suitable for top level football. Its fine for recrational football but at a high level (not sure where the cut off should be -perhaps Capital 2 -) all games should be played on grass.
i'm resident in Auckland and even the worst grass pitches are better than any turf i have seen. Apart from their inherent faults , there is a major problem of maintenance.

I watched the miramar game against selwyn and thought miramar had an off day and selwyn gave it a good go. Watched 2 games there this season and won't sit by the dugouts again, miramar coach just seems to scream at the players, poor kid up front, (Symesy?) was getting it. Fair play to Selwyn for giving it a good nudge.

Seems to be a fair bit of abusing player/refs going on in the NL this season. It does reflect poorly on the clubs with it going on I think, especially the Nix reserves due to the size of the club. Perhaps NZF need to do somthing about it to cool it off.

lots of goals. not much defendering. congrats to miramar. (How are NZ Football going to decide who goes to OFC CL/CWC?)

Pretty sure NZF said this won’t have any bearing, so possibly just nominating Olympic, for winning Central League and Auckland City, for winning Northern League, could be what ends up happening. Tough on teams like Miramar, Auckland United, Cashmere, Eastern Suburbs or Birko, but no one way will be truly fair to split them into two to be nominated.

Also noticed that the Selwyn keeper was awarded the best player of the series, following on from Alex Paulsen winning it last season. That makes two seasons in a row that the goalkeeper of the team that was well last and losing almost every game gets awarded best player, ahead of much more deserving guys, because the voting is done on a 1/2/3 weighting for each team after every game, so being a keeper in a team getting pumped is the best way to win it. I might be a bit harsh, but you’d be a tough judge not to give it to Ollie Whyte, or at least someone from the teams that were clearly the best and in the final .

Some time back OFC announced the format for the OFC Champions League. Has 16 teams (2 from 7 countries and 2 qualifiers). The two NZ teams play each other to make one team for the last 8 and then knockout (I think). Not sure how the 2 NZ teams will be determined - maybe Miramar and Auckland City .Suspect that the NZ monoploy on O League and CWC will be under threat. How did Ollie Whyte not win MVP. Player from bottom side winning MVP is a sad indictment of the system used

Ref playing the mercy rule by finishing the game at 90 mins is quite hilarious.
