The ramifications could have been huge had Welly not conceded yesterday.

This has been an entertaining finals series. The what ifs and could have beens are quite interesting to think about save for 1 minute yesterday

Farken. My prediction of a TW v CUD final uttered at Newtown park last week came unstuck because of a 92nd minute goal.

After seeing Auckland play at English Park twice recently this is Karma for their whinging and diving.  Especially 17 - McGeorge and Chad Coombes.  Both deserved more bookings and cards.

Chad Coombes is a dick. Took about 10 years to get off when he was red carded against us.

He lost any respect he had when he did that and then proceeded to vandalise the doors lending into the stand - what a dork alright.

What a score!     Really incredibly! Congrats Canty!

Thats a bit of a shock... didn't see it happening.

What a turn around from the previous few years for them

Does that mean that Canterbury are the 4th best team in the world?

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Only 4th?
Hard to say, we haven't played the top 3 yet

The same dork that thinks he should play more for the All Whites.
What a Twat he was that day. Hope Canterbury sent Auckland City the bill for the damage.

Don't NZF pay for the final to be broadcast?

I would think so.
Sky Sport 1 has Netball on live at 2pm NZFC Final maybe live on Sport 2.

Final is 24 Apr at 2pm at Fred Taylor Park so still another 2 weeks away!  This 14 game league has lasted 6 months!

The irony of fate: being almost disbanded in the off-season Canterbury is just one game away from the champions title. Beyond question, Keith Braithwaite is NZFC Coach of the Year.

as an aside whats a bet if canty got up and into the O-League braithwaite won't be complaining about the breaks and that OL games should be midweek. and if he got what he asked for (ie O-Leaue games midweek) he'll still complain.

I think it's fair enough to have an issue with how long this league has gone on for.   It started at the end of Oct and won't finish till the end of April.  It has had a flow on effect on the Mainland Premier League with some teams not able to begin as they have many players out.  Some teams will be 5 games behind by the end of this!

While I agree thet the NZFC has been way too stop start, The fact that it would impact a regional league should have no bearing. Winter football = Pub football

All the clubs around here play without there NZFC players until they transfer back in.  Why would they delay leagues ?

Not far from the truth at all, in the scheme of things.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Mainland decided to delay as some clubs have quite a few players out in the Canty Utd or Youth League, and the coach also happens to coach a team too.

It would be good to see a team outside Auckland win.

Obviously with their youth victory they are doing plenty right down there.

That all BS. I played for a pub team in a league and played against one team with 2 members of that years All White squad. G.A.& R.M.
Must admit they did win the game but finished below us come season end.

Ummm, so you're saying Pub Football > Winter Football?

You have confused me.

Also, I'm no authority but has there ever been an All Whites with the initials G.A?

Sorry i got one of them wrong he did'nt actually get to play for the AWs untill a few years later, still in a squad as I remember. They played about 40 AW games between them.
Pub teams back then had a few British lower league players and x NZ National league and senior rep players.

So don't knock Pub football was all I was putting across.
