still definitely, wagget maybe but hes a pom so i can't the nix/yf wanting to look at him. Although the fact that the nix are down to two keepers (incl the disgrace that is crowther) and the fact they already expressed wanting to have a third makes him a fair choice.

What club is he with?

Hes at Dunedin Tech. On the edge (bench/starter) of the first team. Scored two goals for Dunedin Techs Prems last year in the South Island Championships semifinal away to Woolston Tech (one was in stoppage time to send it to extra time, the other was in the second half of extra time to send it to penalties, if i remember correctly he scored a penalty as well. Also made one/two appearances for Otago United mens team (incl one of the bench in the memorable nil all draw at home to auckland city on the opening day).

From the two youth games i saw, comfortably Otagos best.

Tech are in Invercargill this weekend and next weekend when they play Northern at the Caledonian.

True enough, next week, after we've picked up the trophy .

Here are my predictions for this weekends SPL fixtures

Tears for the Green Onions as the Marrons hit top form at the Theatre of Dreamers

The ponies to stump the magpies in a tight one at the gardens

The Braves to upset the Scarfies at the Grove

The Tongans to get a late winner on the Plains

And I'll go for Turnips to overturn the Lakers with the help of a couple of 'disputed' calls from the local officials

cup draw sees Caversham at home to Tech in the second round. With 2 places for Footballsouth in the national draw at the fourth round (16 teams) Cavey and Tech seemed like the obvious two, and now with one of them out after only cup game each. Roslyn and Mosgiel in particular must now really fancy thier chances.

In other Footballsouth games Southend (inv) will host Roslyn Wakari, Mosgiel host GI and Northern Hearts (tim) host Old boys (inv)

Green Island v Mosgiel (In the we were good league)

No report Dino? GI thrashed Mosgiel 7-1!!!

Just Right

In the wee thought we were good but never were league...

Mosgiel were pumped and rearing to go... 15 minutes later 4 nil down, game over.. looked liked GI got bored after that and took the foot off the pedal..

A GI man called Wizz got his first goal for the season and first ever with his left, arm pumping and hollering..

Looks like the top 5 are sorting themselves out...
GI, Frotters, Gerries, Hobbits and Mosgiel.. Heard that the Title Money is on GI/Hobbit for the league

In an ESPN Press Pass exclusive, I reveal that with about 5 minutes to go he alegedly called the referee's assistant a"f**king cheat" amongst other things. The referee was left with little choice but to give a straight red.

Big Cup game for Caversham & Dunedin Tech on Monday, how will Caversham go without Robbie Deeley leading the way in midfield? Deeley will be out for at least another 5 weeks with a work related injury (another tui billboard?) Former Dunedin Favorite Ross Mackenzie has told his good friend at ACC (Tim Horner?) that he doesn't think too highly of Robbie & has asked him to look into the matter if Deeley continues to play sport while receiving ACC.

Robbie is an influential player, without a doubt. 10 goals in 7 games does not lie. But with the ever-growing numbers, Steve Fleming has incredible depth in his squad. And there is no lack of players willing to step up and fill his boots.

Tech vs Cavvy is always a hotly contested match, and Chatham cup fixtures only add to this rivalry. Referee Langley will have to be on his toes at Tonga, where the last of these fixtures resulted in a couple of studs-up challenges, and a red card for Cavvy veteran Mike Smith.

Robbie is a massive player for Cavy but the squad they have this year they should be  a little too strong for Tech.
I just hope the new boys are upto the task because i know the Local boys from Tech will be up for it right from the start.

Does anybody know the latest with Hang my boots up Rhys Henderson? Is he getting himself hungry for the Otago United season then 4 games into the campaign he will Quit!!!

Looking forward to the game monday, 2-2 once again and Cavy to win it in extra time.

yea in the end it was 3-0 to Tech. A frustrating 90 minutes to sit through being a Rovers fan. Up front Carlos was poor and as usual very slow. Neko our other striker was consistently getting outclassed by Tristan Prattley. So the only chance we had ended up with Carlos but he didnt shoot from 10 yards and tried to skill out a defender. Also Dan our keeper was injured or hungover(me not sure),so the reserves keeper stepped up and was sh!t. Ross MacKenzie and Sam Jasper worked hard but got no reward and Sams frustration nearly got him sent off. The defence was average. David Langley is a f**kwit. Overall Queenstown was sh!t and Tech not so good but still won.

Results this week:

University 2:0 Green Island
Roslyn 4:5 Spirit FC
Grants Braes 3:6 Mosgiel
Queenstown 0:3 Dunedin Tech
Caversham 2:0 Northern

Varsity climb 2 spots to 5th, right on par with 4th place Roslyn, who are arguably already out of title contention, after a very poor start to the season.
