Scoullar the grass saying some boys where talking about phelo behind his back. If he had that much respect for his friend and former coach then wouldnt of been out on the piss  until 5 oclock in the morning of the last game of last season, after phelo said be in by 11.

I still cant get my head around malcolm fleming being the head coach of Otago, Just because sombody who has done nothing in the game begs you for the job, doesnt mean you have to give it to them. Could sombody please let me know how training goes this week and what faces are there.

With all this truth coming out today i thought it was time i brought my well respected thoughts back to this forum,Yes yes it all sounds a little far out but i can confirm with 100% fact Terry Boylan has handed in his transfer request from the wanks and asked to return to his old mighty club Caversham so so sad but also true.I also would like to throw a shout out to Blair what a man to stand up to the big bad wolfs and blow there house down it was about time the dunedin public got to find out just a couple of the secrets that have been hidden inside the Logan park office's but now i ask YOU yes the other United players out there to get behind blair on what will be a backlash from Mark "The one eyed monster"chidley.

Also for any players at training tonight could you please let the people on this forum know who was there tonight!

I cant believe that Scoullar or any Otago United player would be out till 5 am in the morning before a game. To me Scoullar let himself down last year when i watched him. He was unfit and just seemed to be going thru the motions. I think Phelan had to go.After all he picked the squad he brought the imports here. Look at that boy Cam from Canada. He was a kid.He hasnt been here for the Winterto select players and look at his record with his assistants. How many players left to go elsewhere (Scoullar included). He went to Canterbury after falling out with Phelan or was it for the money. He then left them after a disagreement with the Board or Coach (cant remember which).
Apparently, the reason for not appointing a Head Coach was Phelan himself. He couldnt make his mind up whether he wanted to do the job or not.
Im not backing the Board but its so easy to blame committees, boards etc without knowing all the facts and we dont know them. All we get is rumours etc. Look at the names mentioned before the coach was announced. There were allsorts and none of them true. The truth is we dont know what goes on.
To be fair when my winter season finishes im not interested in what goes on in the build up to the new season. I will always go and support them though.

If the board was more transparent, had members from the clubs (as per their rules) then there wouldn't be rumour and innuendo as the club reps could dispel these. I'm afraid the board has lost all credibility and leave the talking to the GM who is paid and is not supposed to make policy or policy decisions. When was the last time anyone from the board was quoted on anything?

I was at the original clubs meeting when Marc Chidley got the clubs together. As part of their constitution The Board of OU cannot have any members that are on the committee of any member clubs. This was suggested and agreed to by all clubs present. Mine inclusive. This was supposed to stop block voting to run the Board. There is nothing stopping any of us applying to become Board members and set about the changes we all keep going on about at their AGM.

And when is the AGM?

I went to the 2007 AGM in 2008 (a year late)and it was a farce. I intended to go to the 2008 AGM but never found out when it was held.

I personally don't have the time to be on the Otago United Board and to be honest even if I did I wouldn't want to a part of it.

Rule 9.1.1 of Otago United Incorporated clearly states that a rep from the clubs should be at every meeting.
Just another example of having rules but ignoring them to suit.

The complaint is about the lack of transparency. No one knows what is happening, or not, and the reason why. By using their own rules, the board could have and should have headed off all this crap.

There is passion in the province and people want the team to go well, but it needs fresh blood with the right ideals to take it forward.

Good question what does Johan do? Produces stats and bluffing paperwork with very little substance. Oh yes he's used the region to ensure he has done every course available - at the expense of the region!

Just read who the board members are
It's amazing that it has taken a disgruntled veteran(at 30?) to ellicit a response. It makes a change that chidley didn't answer for the board. It's a shame that the same old 'we are not sure what's happening' is still being run out.   i seem to remember that was the theme 4 years ago

the franchise cant afford to throw money around, yet every year they bring in 5plus foreign players who turn out to be rubbish and go back home mid season

there is some quality laughs in that article "He's been living out of town, and he's of a shape and disposition that, if you leave him to his own devices, he gets unfit."

Regan coldicott turn up?

From what ive heard he's taking the summer off. however, i dont know how accurate that is but him not being at the training may point in that direction.

Looks like a relatively young squad which may not turn out that well this season but if they can keep them together for a few years it would be good instead of the constant changes.

hmmmm crazy response from Lamont, some funny quotes as Horsie has pointed out. Most people down here knew Burgess & Scoullar were def not playing for Otago months ago, so Lamont's claim that hes unwanted is laughable.

Encouraging to hear when he is supposed to be moving to Wellington to fill the seat left vacant when Bev Priestman moved to Auckland (same job in Welly to the one he has in Otago).

Lucky us.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
