IM BACK!!! great victory for my beloved technical yesterday
sounds like Roslyn are now the team to watch, apparently they passed spirit off the park yesterday. No Barry Gardniner though.
Chatham
Cup this week - with the big 4 teams all still alive in that comp. All
other clubs are not worthy of a mention in my opinion. Mosgiel not
entering the cup is a disgrace.
Sorry got to run - pizza delivery man has just arrived at the door with my usual order
how did you play? did you start? if not how many minutes you get? was the pizza good?

A david shaw header settled an under strenght caversham side on that day i think?
wrong, sean brand nutmegged liam little off a john odrisscol cross. Final score 2-1 v a full strength cavy wank side. Remember well as its not often we beat the wanks.
The wanks is a bit rough Horsie..And can i point out that the only reson you dont hide behind your name is because you got found out??I can go back through the pages if im not correct but i think that is the case
correct truth I did get found out a year or so back, but at the same time I could just start a new account, but I don't give a f**k if people know who I am and what my opinion is, I am more than happy to voice it. Half the muppets who have given me sh*t on this forum for being rubbish/donkey/lumberjack... or whatever will never put there name to anything. I have never pretended to be anything more than an a player who gives an honest 100% and that is all. Also truth at roslyn, cavy have always been known as "the wanks", an endearing term for indisputably the best side in the south island over the last decade and a side we all love to beat but seldom do. Enough said.

Caught a bit of the Roslyn uni game 2day Mike 'Gipetto' Cunningham was once again pulling strings more than he pulls bitches. Roslyn made the uni students look like just that students!! Thy gotta footballing lesson. When will deez nig*az learn

To be fair the team that lost to roslyn today can hardly be labelled Vasity. I think they played about 4 of their regular starters and even some from their thirds! Roslyn progress in the cup, but to say roslyn handed vasity a footballing lesson is ridiculous, they barely even played them. Good luck to Roslyn in the next round however, just had to set the record straight.

varsity had players from the thirds in the team & only a few from the first line up.
for roslyn to now say they taught them a lesson< what a joke.
if roslyn had any spirit, they would have played on sunday< i hear the players wanted to play the first team but mgmt wanted the easy route.
Not a good look for southern football, the auckland football league think the SPL is soft & this just confirms their thoughts that the SPL is a level below auckland.
Why would football south not want a better competition in the SPL.
I am from auckland & follow the SPL & get sick of the Auckland league saying they are much better than the SPL. But you guys down south just make it worse by having one sided games because you disadvantage the students.
The SPL needs more competitive teams to give it some credibility.
Why can"t the SPL work with the varsity team to play outside exams & holiday time.
Are we worried some other team may challenge DT & Cavi ??
It would be the best thing for SPL to have 5/6 teams challenging for the top.
I am not a varsity player, i am based in auckland & follow the SPL but to be honest most clubs up here think the SPL is weak.
Get some competition going down there!!.

Have a cry, you want soccersouth to schedule games when the students haven't been on the piss to keep things fair? There is little logic to your. The only way things will get more competitive is a combined south island league.horseshead212011-06-18 19:27:40

what is the term nig*az about, this truly is the red necks from the deep south.
the SPL is starting to look like a joke of a league!!!
Maybe you guys should just play your own league & not the Chatham cup.
Be aware you will face other races in the rounds outside of DN.
reminds me of the tune from the movie Deliverance.

Look mate half the team were actually sitting exams during the actual game, it is a student team. But all I am saying is do you want competition or do you want easy games your call as I say I hear it, Auck laugh at the SPL and I try and stick up for you guys but if you want to get better you need to embrace decent competition. Is it best for the SPL and play a soft game and go through or play a full uni squad and win a tight competitive.

well theres only three teams that get called the "wanks" i'd take it as a complement
Hey Horsie, hows cappy going? played with the guy at Miramar a few years back, good lad, didn't realise it was you & him, same thing happen but not as bad roslyn vs tech 07? nick Bishop & Wally, still nasty tho

Hey judda, yeah slow road to recovery for cappy but he's on the improve absolutely horrific headclash. Didn't play the 07 season gave it a miss so didn't see that incident. Jordy done well, plagued with injuries of late though. I thought you were a wgtn united man!

I agree with intoit on some of his comments on we have to make the SPL more even with the players being spread around all the clubs which in turn should make the league more intriging instead of the usual 2/3 horse race.
But to say that we need to help uni by working around exams/holidays well this is just stupid, we all know the dates for the league/cup and if you cant deal with them maybe dont enter. Fair play to Roslyn to playing yesterday take advantage of it any other team in the country would.
Lets all get down to the cale today to watch and support caversham and watch which could be a regular fixture in the new south island comp soon, watch this space

Whats this rubbish about the students having exams? I agree with Roslyn playing them on Saturday - who the hell wouldnt - its a competition afterall!
if they had studied harder instead of hitting the piss all week, maybe they would have enough internal marks to skip the exam
its a simple case of priorities - they had a choice too didnt they

Speaking of odds not a bad weekend for the TAB. All bets placed on Burgess goals refunded as his partner went in2 labour and he missed the trip (hopfully all went well!)
Made a bunch of money on Tim Mather failing to bulge ye olde onion bag as a lot of punters threw down some big bucks on that.
As far as Patty Fleming scoring a screamer that ones gone to the dubious goals panel. Most people would consider a strike like his first goal (particular the left footed aspect) as 2 b rather screamerish but the lads set his own bar 4 that fairly highly. And the celebration that followed could only be described as sickening.
The big loss for the TAB during the weekend would have to be Tim Mather cruyff turing in his own 6yard box. I believe the official count by the end of 90minutes was 7 and that equals a faaark load of Dinari exiting the building!!
If you want to know the draw in advance I've heard Tony Van Gorp gets a copy around 10am Monday

Enough internal marks to skip exams?? Im sorry but this statement betrays a mind boggling level of ignorance. Did u drop out of school when they were still giving out gold stars for participation? Who would come to Dunedin to get a degree where this was possible?? In the real world if you miss an exam, you fail; a circumstance that doesnt leave much room for choice.
Yes the dates for Chatham Cup games are published in advance, but they include a leeway to play on either Saturday or Sunday for what you'd imagine are circumstances exactly like these. I dont have a problem with Roslyn opting to play a weaker side, the essence of competition is taking every advantage you can within the rules. The problem is with the basic arrangement, allowing the home club to make the decision confers unfair advantages on that team. How difficult would it be to have some room for mediation here, or simply guidelines in place to determine a fair time to play within the allotted dates.
Riddle me this you wank
