there is one main reason why G.I wont win the title , Jesse Wright , Major major major weakness in their squad. all talk, no game and mentally weak #myth

Not just mentally but physically as well. With all this chat from him, he must be sweating on starting the first few games? Joel and Gannon being away will help his cause but nervous moments for the guy.

Game on then in the first round G.I v Tech then the Onions will be weeping.

What is the date of the first round?

Guys it's late afternoon in Oz - so I'm havin a beer or three - and it's crystal clear we really gotta change this chat up.  The GI yaketty yak is nice and optimistic and all, in like hey I'm 12 years old and in a few years I might have an 9-inch dick kind way, but let's get back to reality now - not the stupid stuff.  What's goin on with Otago Utd on the coaching scene? What's goin on with the club coach scene? And what are the club transfers?  Simple as that.  I hear from young Watty that RM likes his computer games more than coaching - so drop the fu.ker big time, what a loser.  I hear that Malc has a new tat on his fat bum (GI Champs 2013) - now that is real news.  And on the transfers..Cavvy are bleeding with Ferg and Jude and Liam gone, Tech are status quo but screwed for goals without Aaron, and my mighty horse have signed Messi and Nesta!  So all things being equal it will be:

1. Roslyn

2. G.I.

3. Cavvy

4. Tech

How are G.I so damn confident about this season? They have the same team as last year. staying 4th is about as good as it could get for them this season. Roslyn, Tech and Cavvy are far better and will have no issues gathering more points than the bloody Onions. They'll be in a fight for 4th with Mosgiel and Varsity just like last season.

You would think GI would improve, considering the amount of training they've done over the summer, anything below third would be a let down.

Keeping the majority of the same team, along with a good coach is going to bring nothing but good to G.I? Are you seriously that f**king stupid? Along with the youth in their team, and the players who have vastly improved from Otago Utd and Otago Utd Youth they will be a vastly improved side. Along with a few minor pickups that none of you meatheads know about, I am confident about G.I placing in the upper echelon of the SPL.

Theyr'e minor pick ups for a reason so that point is invalid. Gannon and Joel are likely to miss large parts of the season. They finished 19 points behind Cavvy last season, 18 behind Tech and 4 behind Roslyn and lost more games than they won (6 v 7) not to mention being knock out of the cup by Old Boys'. Was thier season actually that good last year?

Of a possible 36 points against the other teams in the top 7 (Cav, Tech, Ros, Uni, Mos & Qtown) they picked up 9 points. 2 wins, 3 draws and 7 losses.

Granted, but actually talking about being one of the favourites for the title after that season is comical.

The past means nothing mate. We are 100x the side we were last season. Anything other than top will be a dissapointment. The only team that may challenge us is Roslyn but even then they'll be too busy getting pissed to play football. Cavvy are derailed,Tech can't score goals without Burgy, Mosgiel are becoming a joke, Uni have nobody anymore and will battle for wooden spoon and everyone else aint worth noting. Nobody can match us for fitness or desire, we will be your champions just accept the facts!

G.I's fitness at the moment is incredible. Malcolm has set the standards high and expects everyone to get to that level.

It's not about the other 3 teams ahead of G.I finishing on more points last season. You have to look at the other teams losses this season, and imo the improvement G.I had from 2 seasons ago, to last season, and then what they will bring this season. I know there's alot of haters out there, especially all the ones out there that have made false G.I accounts, but G.I will be strong, regardless of what other people are saying.

All this Roslyn and G.I chat, you'd think Tech had pulled out of the comp.
They will be right up challenging this year, my pick for the title!

Will be between tech and cavy the only two teams that know how to win when it matters.. My pick tech for the title

I would still back Mosgiel to finish higher than Green Island this season. There is no way any of Green Islands defenders could stop Regan Coldicott if he played up top.

Neigh-men, well done Techies.  After a week drinking Tooheys I might try some imported beer tonight.  Loving the Oz experience, but missing some proper chat on the channel.  And did I have the inside word on the Horse transfers or what?  Told you we got Messi:

Otago Football Transfers:

University, Roslyn Wakari AFC, Melo Guilherme, Pending, 2013-02-28

Now Nesta will follow you watch.

And I'm not talking about our new keeper Daneil Bocatios either cos Nesta's not a goalie, though he's a decent signing IMO.
