I think we’re getting our wires crossed here. I have no problem the guy, my issue is that the head coach of a club is also the director of football at the same place that runs the comp, as confirmed above.
I took pains to point out in my post that I was not questioning Lee Padmore's integrity, rather the criticism was directed at the position he has been placed in by Mainland Football where he concurrently occupies the role as their DoF and as Selwyn United's head coach. As for Mainland having nothing to do with the Southern League, have a look at Clause 11.2 of the National League regulations - it delegates control of the Southern League to the controlling Federation. The conflict of interest is real and Mainland Football has a duty of care to its employee not to place him in such a situation. Dinamo Chris
The difference is, Lee was brought in to do a job that was taken away from him with him not having any control of the situation. There is now no Dragons team any more so cannot bring players to one club on the premise of being selected for Canterbury.
He has been put down to a part time contract which has been communicated to clubs because of CU being no more.
If you look through the history of YF over the time he has been here (almost 10 years now as I joined around the same time) and the abuse he has had, considering the value he has added to the city on a football point of view, it’s crazy.
Ask the players and staff that have worked with/under him and see what they say, that is the only truth. I'm just one of those people who have worked with him, so don't just take my word for it. Southern League is part of National League run by NZF. Not Premier League run by MF. Can’t draw nor find meme for that, so typed slowly. Not sure if that helps.
What makes this different from when Keith Braithwaite had to stop coaching Tech because he was Canterbury United head coach? A conflict of interest I believe was the reasoning so unsure what has changed now.

Always seems to be, some teams are quite slow to put updates and often not updated on Tribe. It's even worse at the Football South Premiership level...
