Terry Henry got vilified globally for his hand ball and rightly so...we have just watched our beloved team fighting for a place  in the grand final and with the scores locked at 1-1  some scumbag son of a convict deliberetly handball a goal...AND YOU WANT US TO BE CALM AND RATIONAL

to be fair, I was never saying be nice to him - I was saying to call him a c**t and hope he gets genital warts.  I just said to stop being such big girls about it, and talking about the shame he feels.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

I'll just say.
The only part that made Chris Payne a cheating c**t. Is the fact that he didnt own up to it.
It certainly wasn't deliberate.

Take that!

Payne will largely get away with it. Will be forgotten in no time at all - except by us obviously.

I keep wondering what Aloisi would've done in the same situation (although he probably would've put the ball over the top anyway).

Well if the FFA treat it as lenient as FIFA treated Henry's it will appear that handball goals will be tolerated. The FFA should really nip this in the bud now and act accordingly to discourage it from becoming the "Norm".

I also believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.

no, no they're not, that's for the other thread, which is a completely justifiable and understandable thread. This thread really is Chris Payne angst. Ironic that his surname is Pain. ****

To everyone who says not to have a go or 'be nice' - grow up.  We can reflect on the season in other threads, but this is for the abuse of Payne.

I hope his mother dies in a freak yachting accident.

Stop supporting Bing son. The 'deliberateness' is sonething you can't justify. IMO, it was possible for him to choose not to handball it in to the goal, halting him from being a cheating f**k. But that is just my opinion. And that of many many others I'd suggest.

The officials should also hang their heads in shame.

Unacceptable that such a blatant offence is not spotted by ANYONE.

The standard of refereeing here (and in Scotland btw!) is shocking.

But if his mother dies then Payne will be bereft.

Don't make me do all the thinking for you, I mean it's reasonably obvious.

And how can anyone say it wasn't deliberate?  It's hard to tell, but one thing that's certain is that he could've moved his arm without too much trouble.  Miserable pratt.

Sydney are lucky that our fans are well behaved if this was the Tards who were just cheated out of a final spot there would be fights and riots.

Despite the handball incident. Sydney deserved to win. They looked dangerous on attack and looked far better. Hats off to Phoenix team. Well done for a great season.

Maybe he should hook up with Lara Bingle and she can take some snaps of him when he is in the shower.

This is the match thread not a season review. Someone will make that thread later (or now?).
Anyway. We played pretty poorly. 1st 20 min we were lucky not to be down 2.
Managed to get it back at 1-1 then THAT happened that changed the way of the game.

In the end Sydney was too good anyway. I wan't confident really at all during the week or during the game. Brosque is a c**t but hes too good and too fast for us to keep up with. His finish to make it 3-1 was awesome.

For our players. Greenacre did nothing. Haven;t been happy all season with him. As a St he was to score more to keep his place imo. Can't be bothered going thru other players. Lochie didn't play great either.

I'll go there and say perhaps it wasn't that blatant except to those right next to Payne and to all those who had endless replays to view from 1001 angles

After the goal they certainly did look more dangerous.  If the goal never counted I don't think that would've been the case.  Not nearly as much at least.

Deliberate doesn't matter Stefan.  Interpretation states that ref need to take into account where the arm is in relation to the body.  Close to body=no hand ball, far away from body - handball.

Nonetheless sydney were the better side.

This is far worse than the Hyuk Su Seo offence as well* and he was given a lot of boo's so I'm hoping the boo's for Payne increase ten-fold.

Ask yourselves this. Was Paynes arm in a natural position?

I'm with Stefan here - it wasn't deliberate -  ball to arm, while attempting a header.

However, his arm was so far from his body that he should have owned up to it. Unfortunately, that's not what modern professional footballers do.

When I play in my Sunday kickabouts and the ball hits my arm across my chest I don't own up, but if it hits my outstretched arm, yes I do.

Yes. The linsmen should have seen it.
Im not denying that he is a cheating c**t.
But he is a cheating c**t for not owning up.

From this discussion you can see for yourselves that handball isn't as black & white as we like to think it is yeah?
