I thought I’d try and steer the conversation to team/club chants.

  We've got the standards:

• Phoenix till I die, Oh Wellington

• We'll be coming

• Just can't get enough

• We’re the Phoenix

• Ernie Merrick’s Yellow Army

• and the Milo chant ([clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap] Phoenix)

…but there hasn’t been many new team/club chants. It’s mainly been new player chants. Here’s what I could find in the last few weeks as suggestions for team chants. Anymore out there to add to this season’s rejuvenated list?

I like these and think they should be practised on Sunday. That Everton Chant, wasn't there a suggestion to replace the Allez with words in Maori?

Another one I was thinking was

"Because you know I'm all about the Phoenix, 'bout the Phoenix. No Sydney (or City)"

Does Josh Brindell-south have a chant? I'm no good at this chant writing stuff but thought a verse + chorus from this song: http://www.metrolyrics.com/safe-and-sound-lyrics-capital-cities.html would fit well. Whether its a good chant song or not is better judged by others though...

I have been trying to get my head around this chant but it seems to have issues with the Hum test, has long pauses after the "we are the team in yellow", and isn't easy to repeat 

(the actual song has a drum roll at the end of the chorus before looping back). 

Anyone else thinking the same thing? Any suggestions?

It's still got a problem with repeatability. Not sure what the options are other than 'da da da da da da....' at the end to simulate the drum fill.

We've managed to just go back to the top after Quite Rightly when singing it down the front of the Fever Zone...

I'm all for Billy Ocean Coops. I like Carribeuuun Queen too... I just don't think that adaption quite hits the mark.
