CONTROVERSY! They had a private function in the back room and didn't play it until the Sevens were finished. Missed the first twenty five minutes. Boo.

Just sayin, not giving up, we've had two problems over 28 games. Significantly better than any other pub over previous seasons.

I would have been annoyed with that because both me and linds rang them before hand to make sure they were going to show it. Even if the sevens were on.

Have they got new management maybe?

I think there is just not much communication between management and the bar staff or something. Not sure what was up there, they quite clearly had the technology to turn just ONE of the tvs over to the Nix, we didn't even ask for sound. But they didn't do until the end of the sevens - where they still left the other TVs on the Sevens post-match wrap up.

I talked to both bar staff and Manger and they both agreed on the same thing.

I'm still a bit pissed off to be fair. Sure there was much more interest in the sevens, but it was pretty insulting to not even flick over the channel on one tele, especially considering we were assured prior to the game it would be shown. To continue playing the post match crap and not give us sound afterwards is just crap. If another pub can assure us it will screen all the games I reckon we make the switch, Fox's clearly doesn't care for our patronage.

The Right Track Sports Bar � On Fort St, has booths with a small individual screen (set up for TAB) and a decent size LCD, as well as � I think � a couple LCDs hanging above bar.
O'Hagan's � Only has a few screens, prob show what is most popular on busy days. Viaduct
Shakespeare's � Corner of Wyndam & Albert Streets, average size screens. Show Prem games as well in middle of night. Not really very busy (when I've been).
Oh and Sky City, but doesn't really count.

But can't complain too much about Fox's, maybe a better arrangement on standing seating. Being in the Viaduct on Saturday nights they have to play music.

Bar Fifa isn't open very late. So they probably wouldn't show the games on at 10 pm

People going to be at Fox's for the Seednee game? I have a meeting at 8:30 but I'll try to get out of it ASAP because I want to see Toto/Clapham/Lovemore in action.

Pretty good turnout last night at Fox's. There was a small crowd up there who started up a "Wind/Rain/Phoenix" chant just after halftime.

Really? Cool! I had work this morning at 6am so I thought I best watch the game in the comfort of my bed!

Who's coming down to Welly for Sunday's game? Everyone?
