That was an enjoyable match. Odegaard will hopefully pull the trigger better in two of his chances he had today. Soares is actually looking OK as a back up to Tomiyasu when he’s surrounded by quality. Those Hale End boys though, bloody love it.

Result even more important with Spurs shock lack of spursiness.

15 more to go.

Very disappointed in Man City, I had that as a lock.
ManU picked up a couple of wins now too.
Wolves game is big. Must beat them on Friday.

Yeah, after a few weekends of results going our way United finding form and City dropping points was less than ideal. Good thing is we are in the drivers seat from here.

Wolves I’m not too worried about. Watched second half against LC today and they made the most out of the weather and taking some long distance shots. Nothing special to make you think they’ll come dominate.

Still be a tricky game on Friday regardless. They don’t concede many.

They'll be fired up after the game the other week too. Apparently you aren't supposed to celebrate winning games and they are quite angry about it all.

Big test. They will indeed be fired up.
We need the home crowd humming. It's a night game so should be a good atmosphere. The crowd has been good at home of late, CYOG!!!!

Arseblog made a solid point, we've got Liverpool, United, and Spurs as our games in hand at the moment - that should really be the turning point in the fixtures for us.

Don't we have Chelsea away as well? None of those games will be easy.

Tbf if we want to get top four we have to prove it by getting something from those games, even a point away at Stamford Bridge or WHL will be reasonable.

I think we're in a position where we could theoretically afford to lose those games, if we were to basically win all the rest.
However I still think you're right. We are unlikely to win all the rest, even more so if we lost all those big games, as our confidence would suffer as a result.
No easy way out... need to face the music in these big games...
To be honest I'm talking to myself here, I'm already nervous. I feel like this is a big moment, a little bit similar to Emery's first season. We had the box seat for top 4 and cocked it up with a series of bad results. Team wasn't ready, didn't have the mentality, and that was basically it for Emery, we never recovered.

Definition of Spursy.
Saturday: Beat the best team in the EPL at their own ground in the last few minutes.
Wednesday: Lose to 18th placed Burnley.

I would've started Martinelli anyway, but ESR has been such an awesome boost off the bench, he'll still be missed. Hopefully Pepe can bring some form.
Tomiyasu still out is a worry, Cedric was ok last game, hopefully can hold the fort ok. No Traore in the wolves side any longer at least.

totally, it's all good being able to play it out from the back but safety comes first.
Lacazette is looking good on attack, but their back three is closing him down quickly.

Laca has been working hard today but also taking the wrong options. Bring Pepe on and put martenlli up front?

Laca with a stunner to steal the win!

easily the best game up front for Laca in an age, he's looked dangerous and caused the defenders trouble all night.

Fudgeing have it! Celebrate in their faces all night since you're not supposed to celebrate winning. They were time wasting and trying to run the clock down with half an hour to go. Interesting, because they got angry and told us you weren't supposed to do that either.

What a fudgeing game.
Pepe did so well and made a huge difference.
Nketiah also looked way more driven and switched on trying to get the balls back etc.
Credit to Cedric too, 3 games and he has rarely put a foot wrong.
14 more cup finals to go.

The one benefit of a Wolves win was going to be seeing their traditional victory celebration of sackcloth and ashes.

Gabriel made that horrible error, but boy was he amazing for the rest of the match. Him, White and Tierney were phenomenal in that last 20 minutes in particular, they won just about every out ball from Wolves, kept piling the pressure right back on.
Excellent substitutions from Arteta. Nketiah and Pepe combined for the equaliser, and a great decision to leave Laca on, he was full of energy the entire 90. My man of the match for sure.

While i think Laca played well. I dont think he was outstanding. Many times he took the wrong option or missed the pass.
MO would be my MOTM. he ran forever and dictated play agasint a very packed defence.
Really liked the impact of Pepe and Nketiah though, both brought energy and purpose to the game. however, Pepe does still get the ball and then think about what to do, rather than having a plan before the ball arrives.

Absolutely huge that. A pivotal point in our season.
Felt like the Welbeck winner against Leicester. Need to make it count for something this time.
How good was Pepe's goal by the way? The control, turn and finish. Can't imagine anyone else in the squad finishing that. It was like something you'd only really expect Bergkamp to have pulled off. Great impact from a player who has basically been forgotten this season.

I see Auba scored last night to help Barca progress in the Europa league, after his hat trick for them on debut in La Liga. I’m actually thrilled for him. He was all out of sorts with us, and I’m still a believer we made the right call, but I’m equally glad that a player of his talent has found his groove again. It’s in stark contrast with Ozil who was incredibly antagonistic on the way out and whose poor record in Turkey has vindicated our decision some what.
