Having lived in the UK for most of my life I'm notnaive enough to think that particular article was written from a completely unbiased perspective. However, as most of the criticism on here is also not written from anywhere near anunbiased perspective, I just thought it would give another side.

To be fair, it doesn't exactly paint Allardyce as a saint and a god amongst football mangers.

I agree with your comments. Sam A was not one of my favourite people, but I have the utmost respect for him. I think he has done a good job at Blackburn and when you get someone like Sir AF making negative remarks due to his sacking, then it make you wonder.

Wait, Mr Ferguson was saying his sacking was a bad idea? Must be a great manager... Ffs, or maybe its because they're friends.

Exactly. I didn't hear a peep out of Fergie on Hughton's sacking, even though that was far more unjust.

Three for me, and two for them.

Would you not expect your friends to back you?

Exactly.  Also for the record Ferguson often speaks out on managers getting the sack its not always reported.

Also (by the way).  Here is his latest quote.

Ferguson who overtakes Sir Matt Busby as Manchester Uniteds longest-serving manager today hit out at the recent treatment of Chris Hughton by Newcastle and Sam Allardyce at Blackburn, admitting it has left him dumbfounded.

He didn't actually mention Hughton in there, just a passing word about Newcastle. I suppose Hughton isn't a part of the old boys club so he misses out.

Three for me, and two for them.

Interesting that the 'let's stick the knife into Allardyce' brigade are now joining forces to have a pop a Alex Ferguson.

Oh dear.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Why does it concern you so much Jag? Why?

Amuses me, Buff. Amuses me. It's actually not important enough to concern me.

Human nature. Funny thing.

Anyway. Carry on.

Uhm, kind of my point? So surely what he says should be taken with a 'pinch' of salt?

You carry on, Boss. Don't mind me.
