Very happy with the win, but still worried we might be battling relegation, teams wont gift us 4 goals every week.

Was happy with Yakubu's debut, took his goals very well and seemed to hold the ball up. He might just be a stop gap measure till the Jan transfer window, but if he keeps this up it will be hard to drop him.

I've always rated Yakubu even if most others haven't. I think we saw today what he's capable and I think he will be a perfect fit with Rovers, and a really good bit of business. Especially when you consider Everton started with no specialist striker last night.

Conceded 2 goals in added time against Newcastle, its 3-3 in extra time atm, given how horrible we are at pens I don't think we will win this

I guess the ref thought Yakubu touched it, after he placed the ball. Very dodgy but we need some luck to go our way.

Sky TV out!!

Rovers get the early game, and it's not on tv

There's a few games not on this weekend strangely.

Allegedly

Blackburn are sh*t. That is why you are not on tv.

Three for me, and two for them.

My your own analogy does that make Arsenal sh*t as well, cause they are not on TV against Wigan.

Leave him alone. He's doing just fine.

I wonder with Bruce going at Sunderland this may make Venky's follow suit and give Kean the boot.
I cannot understand why they persist with Kean, particularly after admitting that he threw the Carling Cup game. You can possibly understand the logic but it is an insult and suggests he has no faith in himself or in his team's abilities either. ForteanTimes2011-12-01 10:04:31

In the new contract, they got rid of the cheaper option to fire him. We are stuck with him.

lol but going for the parachute payment option is a risky financial strategy surely? How much to buy him out?

The new owners just don't know what they are doing. They had advisors originally, but fired them after seeing how much they cost with the transfers. They now run everything thru a committee of the family, but football moves too fast for that kind of set up.

The parent company is certainly not short of a bob or 2.

The mail ran with this:

Bloody hell, surely the fans are not serious about Shearer?

I'd give the Job to Sven and bring in Shearer and get Tony Parkes out of retirment as part of the coaching staff.

They might have money, but they don't want to spend it. I don't think they understood how much it costs to run a football club. Was rumors going around, suggesting they were originally just going to front the bid, with money coming from elsewhere, and after they got the club the backers pulled out.

Shearer would be a mistake, and the fans wouldn't welcome Sven, he had a verbal agreement with Jack Walker to coach Rovers, what he reneged on. The situation we are in, we need points even if they come ugly, we need someone like Big Sam.

Never knew that about Sven, mind you times are hard and I can't see either Sam or Sparky heading back.

I would take Sparky back in a second, he left because he was frustrated by having no funds to buy his targets. That hasn't changed, so he wont be back.

Yeah he is second favourite behind O'neill to get the Sunderland job.

9 of our 11 goals in the league now, right up there as bargain of the season.

No doubt its less embrassing to be seen at a Rovers game in the Mr Blobby outfit, than a Rover's shirt atm

There is a link to a NZ Herald article in the Ryan Nelsen thread.

Sounds like an ugly atmosphere there too. Feel a bit sorry for Kean. How the hell are the team supposed to play well when the entire crowd are booing/slagging off their manager?Arsenal2011-12-21 10:12:05
