Arsenal should sign Paston.

Good annilation. Exposing Arsenal for the fraud they are. All they can do is beat little teams by big margins but when it comes down to the real games, they show their true colours. Two man team and with one away they were never going to score against the worlds best defence and of course with a defence like theirs goals were always going to flow for us. Probably should of been 4-0 to be honest and not even all our players were firing.

That's a bit retarded. Chelsea certainly deserved the win, but don't get too carried away.

Should have been 2-1 after 50mins and game on.

Can't cry over it though, Cech wasn't really tested that whole game - Eduardo is in very bad form!

did you watch the game?maybe we need a goalkeeper who will organise 'that defence of ours' better?

Yes and watching the replay now for good measure. You were destroyed and were lucky only to lose by 3. Yes you done need a keeper to organise your defence well, when your team starts kicking the ball into their own net when the keeper is right there something is not right... Also what part is delusional?

Cech = God of organising. Also 2-1? Are you talking about how you wildly thrashed at the ball in Cechs hands and then kicked it in the net and thought it you were allowed to do that?

Yeah how typical of Arsenal fans to act like that. Booing Ashley aswell. A little old now is it and how childish? Btw how has Wenger kept his job when he is the worse manager in top-flight football by quite some distance?

OK, I expect an Arsenal fan to close his eyes to the best Chelsea provided.  But are you really saying your team were so dreadful that an abhorrent act of hooliganism was better than anything they did on the pitch?

Agree with this its very childish what is it like 3 years ago, get over it he left hes at a better club now concentrate on your own players instead of booing the opposition

One thing that did stand out was at the kick off when the teams shook hands. The gunner have to have one of the shortest (In height) line up in the EPL. I was quite surprised to see the Chelsea players standing over them.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

wow, you are reaching new heights of being a tool.  congratulations, very well done

throwing the camera = uncool. Unfortunately you took the bait that Arsenal laid down for you there.

booing ashley = they would be sh*t fans if they didn't. Gallas gets the same treatment at Stamford Bridge and rightly so. Owen got it when he went back to Liverpool, Smeltzy got it at the ring of fire..the list will go on and on. As Smeltz said, he expected it and respected it, and he didn't even leave the nix in very controversial circumstances, unlike Cashley's departure. Although, that may have been before you had time to jump on the bandwagon (apologies to JD, Downey, Chopper etc who didn't, but come on..this guy?  really?) so you might not be familiar with those circumstances.

And as for that last comment about Arsene, that is possibly the most daft thing I have heard anyone say. ever. I highly doubt you will get anyone to support you on that so I will not be justifying that level of idiocy with a response.

Chelsea are claaass. Drogba, best striker in the premiership. They're gonna take some stopping! As for the camera, that's just weird man haha.
over 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Oh and you lot didn't take the bait I set for you? Also shows how true your "fans" are when the stadium is near empty except for one corner towards the end. Do they only stay on the bandwagon when you are winning?

The last thing you won was the 2005 FA Cup IIRC. How is it daft saying he is the worst manager in the top 4. In the last 4 years, when the league has really stepped it up, you have won nothing. In case you were wondering managers are meant to win trophys or is that a daft thing to say? Of course in saying that Beneitez is pretty poor.

Im as much a chelsea fan as you fentasticman but i still think torres is a better striker than drogba

over 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Fair call Torres is class. But I dunno if he can rip up a whole defence like Drogba can. When Chelsea played Liverpool at Stamford Bridge, Drogba destroyed Carragher and set up both goals, whereas Torres really only had one effort, and couldn't break down Terry etc at the back. But he is a world class player for sure.

On current form, no but Torres has been injured and generally is a better finisher. In-form Drogba I think is on par with Torres but he can be inconsistant at times.
over 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Yea fair enough i think its more the brut strength of Drogba that does it i mean hes a big powerfull striker i think thats why he rips up so well. But when Torres is in form he is tough to stop

I didn't wildly thrash at anything. Except my empty pint glass, when they closed the bar halfway through the match.

Eduardo did however sneak the ball out of Cech's hands without touching him. Unfortunately, goal keepers are very well looked after, and that was deemed illegal. As I said, unfortunately.

Surely I'm allowed to be bias though? It's not like I've said Chelski didn't deserve to win though, right?

Bit worrying from an Arsenal point of view. I mean I know they didn't have Van Persie up front, but that's no excuse for letting 3 in at the back, especially at home. Thrashing the lower teams is all well and good but against United (admittedly unluckily), City and now Chelsea they've been beaten. Can't win the title if they lose the big ones.

By top-flight I meant like top-4 in England, top-2 in Spain...
over 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
top-flight means the top division, i.e the premier league.

By quite some distance? What about Rafa....? His record in the last four years isn't much better!

Yes, he is pretty bad too, I don't know why clubs keep managers based on their past performance. Wenger keeps on promising that his youth players will be coming through but he has been saying that for a while now. Rafa just doesn't have the players to win the PL. Gerrard and Torres but that is it. Wenger definatly could with his players but it seems that they rely to heavily on VP and Fabregas where it isn't needed.

Also on a side note: Is Lampard the most under-rated footballer in the world? (Mainly based on this: http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/117758,barca-quartet-lead-ballon-dor-race.aspx)wellyphoenixfan2009-11-30 15:26:01

Professional, ruthless and purposeful display from the Blues this morning.  Other than that, I'm staying out of the banter for once.

Torres v Drogba?  Both fantastic players but very different, like comparing chalk and cheese.  But I happen to like blue cheese!!
over 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Ask Real Madrid and United last season (and this season) how they dealt with a half-fit Torres. Both can take on any defence when they really want to, but Torres feels its, Drogba generally cheats and then has a moment of brilliance. But I don't even want to have that argument. Torres > Drogba in my opinion. But I could see why you'd think Drogba is as good. Two fantastic players.

And sacking Rafa? Okay, I'm biting this one. Some of us don't have unlimited funds so even if we wanted to we couldn't sack him. Which we don't. We aren't knee-jerking c**ts like yourselves, who boo their team at halftime and then have the cheek to sing "You only sing when you're winning" at 3-2 as well as having those sickening plastic flags. No other manager in the world could have won a European Cup with that squad that Rafa inherited. And, before all you post-2004 Chelsea fans start saying sh*t about us, maybe you should know that Rafa inherited a team which didn't regularly make it in the Champion's League, let alone get past the group stages. Rafa is dealing with a shoestring budget, plenty of injuries to key players (and even not so key players) and constantly dealing with sh*te from everyone in the media. The man is meant for Liverpool. He is class. Worst manager in top flight? Get f**ked. I bet no other manager in the League can boast of having broken Madrid and Barcelona with a budget less than what they have, with the quality of players less than what they had. There aren't many who have won European Cups, even FA Cups. We got our highest ever points total in the Premier League last season. So have some respect, you twats.

You can get your filty hands off Kun as well. Don't start w**king over him just yet. Pricks.

Oh, and a great result for your lot against the Arse. So well done.

Rant over.

no escuses for throwing at object at a player

wenger has done a real good job developing players ang getting what he can out of the players hes got, in my opinion

it was a good result (obviosly) but to be honest, when we went 1 up i was relieved more than anything else, thought we looked like going a goal down but with all arsenals possesion, cech wasnt overly tested. we did counter very well

Big compliment coming from a Man Utd fan.  It's clearly a two horse race now, although the commentator pointed out yesterday that Utd were 8 points behind Chelsea at this stage last year.  Will be very interesting, particularly in January when we lose a few players for a month.
