He's blatantly kicking Drogba. Although I look forward to Michael's interpretation of events, always good for a laugh.

My interpretation? Well here goes...

Firstly wtf is Drogba up to. He's got no chance of getting ball, and you can see the contact isn't that hard as Drogba's momentum continues upwards.

Nevertheless, I dunno what Evans was thinking, and I agree it looks suspicious. Here's a good point though, jump up in your room as high as you possibly can. Now do it again, except in mid air try to spin 180. Your leg pokes out to land properly.

Eh? What does Ronaldo have to do with it? Or are you comparing Ronaldo and Drogba? I can't work out if you're arguing with me or agreeing with me!

By the way, I'm not comparing Torres' attitude to Drogba's. Torres is a different class to that cheat!

Definitely agreeing.  Just pointing out what an obnoxious little git Ronaldo was despite his huge talent which is why you can never really love a player like that totally even when he's one of your own.  Just in case Man U fans had forgotten!

Ah, I see. Makes sense. Sorry, I'm not at my best at the moment... But that's very true!

Chelsea chase Brazilian wonderkid Lucas Piazon
Published 23:30 15/11/09 By By Alan Nixon

Chelsea are ready to sign brilliant Brazilian wonder boy Lucas Piazon from Sao Paolo - in a bid to beat their transfer ban.

The Stamford Bridge outfit sent their top men to South America at the weekend in a bid to tie up a move for the skipper of Brazil's under-15 side.

Piazon, an attacking midfielder, scored twice as Brazil thrashed Bolivia 4-0 in a game watched by leading talent spotter Pete de Visser and talks have already begun to bring him to London.

Carlo Ancelotti's ambitious Chelsea want to move fast, tying up the move before any possible enforcement of the FIFA transfer ban that is hanging over their heads.

The tall midfielder, who is like Kaka in style and size, is also known to the other Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal from his recent displays in the Nike Youth Cup in Manchester.

However Chelsea believe they have won the race for the youngster and will fly him in to complete the deal in the coming weeks.

great win by the lads this morning. whole team played really well. was very impressed with the way players came into the team and fit in to the game plan. alex, belleti in particular.

midfield worked really well together considering we were without ballack and lamps

good to see joe cole start and score

kakuta definatly looks the goods, very impressive. matic and boroni looked very promising too

Very good win this morning. Considering we had 5 players out it makes it even more impressive. Good to see the young players getting a run and performing well. Anyone reckon Carvalho should of been atleast on the bench?
over 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
That Wolves keeper was sh*t. Should have saved two of the goals.

KAKUTA is the goods - can see now why they spent so much time signing him...agree the other 2 were ok too, although Wolves had a couple of good chances but there " keeper" had a nightmare. Chechs" big" save was 1st class........looking very strong with several top players out

Yeah Cole's goal and Essien's second were easy saves but he screwed up BIG time. Honestly that was A-League stuff right there.wellyphoenixfan2009-11-22 17:30:02

Mhm, it was slippery conditions and all but still regulation stuff.

They needed Paston in goal, he would have organised the defence so the shots wouldn't have been made.
over 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
yea huge differnece in the keepers, huge. cech made a simply world class save whilst that hennesy guy was rubbish, at this level, no at any level, essiens and coles should have been saved

defending was rubbish for essiens header too, you just dont leave someone unmarked in the penalty box for a corner, schoolboy stuff.

maloudas goal tho was just lovely, little could be done by the keeper but defenders should have known to close him down a little earlier.

as for why carvalho didnt play, i have this feeling that hes been out of favour since making the two mistakes vs aston villa. i thought alex was good tho. still finds himself in tricky situations but seems to get out of them

one other thing i noticed was how flat we looked up front without drogba, all the goals and shots coming from midfield. not saying anelka and kalou arent good, we just lack an outlet when we dont play drogba. Downey262009-11-23 10:45:33

I think you guys will win the league in a canter...

You have the team to win ugly as well as really deal to inferior teams. I think Man Yoo will try and sustai a challenge but will ultimately fail.

I guess your only concern will be the African Nations, but from what i understand you have a pretty friendly fixtre list during that time.

yes we will definatly miss drogba, kalou, essien and mikel. but as you said, our fixture list aint to bad. we got hull away, sunderland and birmingham at home, then burnley away.

if any of our players are in the final (which i expect, as i think ivory coast will win) they may be a bit tired for our home game vs arsenal on 6th feb. i believe the african nations final is on 31st jan

Well Kalou and Mikel will not be missed too much. Essien and Drogba obviously but with the fixture list it shouldn't be too bad.

starting to look forward to the game this weekend now. Will be epic!
although our injuries are mounting up big time =

this fixture always results in lots of forum tension between us sets of fans, hopefully we can all play nice this time around
