Highlight of the game (apart from Terry being sent off, of course): Gary Neville's sex noise:

superb effort by chelsea of two legs

was stoked to see chelsea win - something i don't expect to say too often in my life

a gripping game, had me as involved as any tv game this euro season

hugely relived when the off-side flag was up in about 83rd min and messi's pen miss - brilliant

what will this mean for di matteo's job propects?

Knowing Abramovich's high standards, he'll probably have to win both the Champions League and FA Cup to get the job.

The funny thing about it is that Chelsea were objectively pretty poor over the 2 legs.  They allowed a load of chances in both matches despite pretty much only defending, created very little and relied on Barcas profligancy.  But yet they're through to the final - it's hard to reconcile that.  If I was a Chelsea fan I'd be happy of course, but in no way would this make me want RDM to take over next season.  The game plan was pretty simple but it actually wasn't really executed very well

A superbly disciplined and gutsy performance by the lads over the two legs. Let's not forget we also had to go to the Emirates in the league between the two games. It's been a tough week.

Thought Ramires was outstanding (as always). Those who criticized him when he first joined the club are notable by their absence these days. Drogba was superb too - covered every blade of grass last night. And when you consider we lost both the starting centre-halves before half-time, it really was an impressive result.

I've seen us mount some impressive comebacks over the years but that's definitely the best of them. I disagree with James Dean. Given all the events that took place, I think the game plan (simple though it was) was spot on. It wasn't pretty and it was never going to be. Barca will always create chances, but I thought we defended resolutely throughout the two legs and were good value. At the end of the day, we're in the final and Barca aren't.

As for RDM taking over, I now think he should be given the chance. Two finals and a strong possibility of a top four finish in the PL. We'd have taken that two months ago. And, keeping in mind that he's done it with the same players who struggled under AVB, what he's achieved speaks volumes. He's earned the right to the job on a permanent basis.PaulSG2012-04-26 06:40:51

QPR this weekend, another must win game if we are to get top 4. Squad must be buzzing but its a bit of a transition from Barcelona away to QPR at home. Will be interesting to see the team sheet for this one. Thinking it may be similar ish to the team that faced Arsenal, with Newcastle in mind next week. However also have to make sure we keep the FA Cup final in mind the following weekend. Busy times.

Gary Cahill must be loving this, a far cry from a relegation battle with Bolton.

I think you're right Downey. The starting XI against QPR will be vastly different. This is where RDM really earns his money. He's got to keep the squad as fresh as possible but 4th place is still very much up for grabs and there are two finals in the offing.

I reckon Malouda, Sturridge, Bertrand and Torres will all get a run-out on Sunday. But it's a game we can't afford to drop points in. And we owe QPR serious revenge for the league game at Loftus Road so I hope we go out and destroy them. If we win that, the Toon game becomes a real season-defining game, in my opinion. But having played them off the park back in December at St. James' Park, I do fancy us.

As for Cahill, it looks like he might struggle to settle in at first but he's actually become a very solid centre-half and looks to have a great partnership with JT - something they forged with England.

Yes i too want revenge on QPR for that loss, we did beat them in the cup mind you, but i want the 3 points from this one. They will be up for it though thats for sure, London derby and they are in a relegation battle.

Can we plz keep Courtois?

You don't need the three points, we do. You have two cup finals to worry about. Give us the three points.

No hand shaking either !!

Yea that's a bit stupid, seems like the FA are dragging this thing out and making it bigger than it needed to be.

Oh, we do need the 3pts. If we are to have any hope of finishing in the top 4, then we have to be winning our remaining league games. If we help to send QPR (and Sparky who has gone down in my estimation) down as a result, that's a bonus.

Marko Marin signed on for next season, with him, De Bruyne, Sturridge and Lukaku there is some seriously talented youngsters up top. Wouldn't be surprised if Lukaku got a loan next season though.

Absolutely fantastic win. After the drama, tension and nerves of the barca game this was just what we needed. There was no time to feel the nerves with a goal inside a minute and 4 before 25 minutes was up.

Just awesome to see Torres get a hat trick. And seeing Huthinson come on near the end was fantastic.

Great result heading into the Newcastle game.

Brilliant stuff, just watched the highlights reel for the QPR game, man have we stepped up our performance!

Exciting few weeks ahead.  Awesome to see Torres get his hattrick, let's hope he can get a few more before the end of season
