To clarify my own comments, I'm not condoning ball-boy time-wasting at all, I agree it shouldn't be happening, but what hazard did is much worse.

a) It was Swansea's kick, there is more than 1 ball on the ground, although the kid was going slow, all the keeper needed to do was ask for the next ball and away they went, by behaving like an idiot Hazard actually slowed things down.
b) The only reason the kid ends up on the ground is Hazard pushing him to start with - again slowing things down.  The kid should have just let him have it, but that isn't an excuse to grab him.  Again, he slowed things down more just by being there.
c) You obviously see time wasting as a greater crime than assault.  So in the future, if Lampard gets in the way of a team trying to take a quick free kick and gets punched in the face, you will obviously be calling for Lampard to be banned from playing or attending any football match for a few months, while calling the player who punched him a bit silly.

a) So you think the Swansea keeper was going to run to the second closest ball to restart play as quickly as possible? Hazard wanted to get the game going as quickly as possible. Presenting the ball to the keeper does this.
b)The "only" reason???? So if the 17 year old "kid" had of returned the ball he would have still ended up on the ground? If he had of done absolutely nothing Hazard would have gone over and knocked him down?
C) No I didn't say that. You're talking complete crap making an analogy that was never suggested. But as for an assault, the cheater was unhurt, the police have said they have no intention of pressing charges, which would be extremely odd for an adult assaulting a 17 year old. He did not get punched in the face as you suggest. I never suggested Hazard was "a bit silly". I said he was really really stupid. He got red carded and will miss at least the next 3 games. I think that is about right.
On the other hand you are defending the ball boy. Putting words into my mouth which were clearly never said. Either the ball boy (or the club if it instructed him as has now been suggested) needs to be punished by the FA so this behavior does not happen again.

Fabrication.

It was the ballboy who decided not to press charges when the police asked him whether or not he wanted to. Hazard should thank him.

Certain bookies have stopped taking bets on Rafa to be the next to be sacked after a bit of money was thrown on it.

Imagine an 'interim manager' getting sacked. Only Chelsea.

Rafa out?

What a dive at  the end there, Reminded me of Guildford scoring a try!

wow.  2-2 draws against two promoted Championship sides, surely Rafa has got to be on his way soon.

Hats off to Reading though, ALFie is a boss

Had a bad feeling about the Newcastle game.  Need Mikel and Luiz back for DM.

Here's a write up from Chelsea FC Blog

3 points over the weekend. Absolute shocker in defense to let the one Wigan goal slip, otherwise ok.  If we had played like that against Man U we'd have been torn to pieces.

Mikel and Moses set to return after winning the African Cup of Nations with Nigeria.

Mikel is now a Champion of Europe and Champion of Africa!

Suuuuuucks being out of the Champions league, looks like the Europa League match v Sparta Prague isn't even on the telly tomorrow :(

that Oscar sure loves scoring in Europe!

Sucks that Ba is cup tied to Newcastle, wonder what happens if Torres gets injured?

Nice! not sure why we couldn't do that in the first leg (or even the first half of the second leg).

Next up Middlesborough

Phew!

Eden Hazard scores the winner for us in the last 30 secs of injury time!

Next up either Amsterdam or Bucharest

Wow Ajax out on penalties! Next game is against Steaua Bucharest!

Middlesborough 0-2 Chelsea

Ramires belted the first one that deflected off Torres' back

the second goal was particularly tasty, a quick one-two between Hazard to Oscar, then Hazard touches off for Moses to smash it through the back of the net :)

Happy with the result, confused by the team selection (Benayoun starting over Marin? No Mata or Mikel in the squad?) and looking forward to Man U.

And the FSW announces he is off at the end of the season  - phew!

Yea, I think he would've done alright given time.  He found Mata for us which is a massive bonus.

I wonder how he would've played with our newer signings: Moses, Hazard, Azpilucueta, Oscar and Ba, most of them have the pace to handle the high defensive line if they could track back a pinch better.

Would rather have AVB than FSW.  Good win over the Arse for you lot.

He almost certainly learned a lot from his time at Stamford Bridge.  Man management skills for one, although our squad would not have had anywhere near the toxic environment that he was in back then. We should thank you for helping make him what he is today.
The scary thing is he is only 35.  That's the same age as Chris Greenacre.  He's still learning and he's still willing to learn and make mistakes.
Will take the win - very satisfying but pretty nerve wracking at the time.  Still - many more matches to go and so many meals of lasagne to avoid before it means something.

Damn, TAB wins that round.  Why is Benayoun starting over Marin?

Only caught the last 15mins so can't really comment on the game.  Was hoping it would be 1-0 in the opposite direction though.

Have to do the business back at the Bridge now

Happy to force a replay in the FA Cup, damn shame Mata's last strike couldn't get past De Gea.

Bucharest at the Bridge in about 20mins
