I would have thought his form at WBA was a dead giveaway that he was going to be good. As good as what you have but scores. Torres does what exactly? Not you, the fans fault.

Yeah I'm not sure why they let lukaku go this season. Here's hoping eto'o gets his groove back and ba remembers the offside rule. Everyone wanted Jose back, now we just have to trust him

Best game I've seen for Eto'o, Hazard linked up really well with him.  

Loved seeing Jose getting up and sitting with the fans!

Great goal by eto and nice to finally have a striker score. We were a bit lucky though.  Thought mata done himself no fa ours

I don't usually get up to watch EPL games other than Utd but I happened to wake up just before KO.

Both teams have some real quality players and the football was fantastic at times. The turning point for me was when Lampard and Schurrie were subbed for Mikel and Willian. These two injected a bit of pace to Chelsea and they looked sharper.  I feel knackered this morning but it was worth while.

Best performance from Torres in a blue shirt this morning!  Schurrle just keeps getting better too!

True that Hart's stuff up helped, but it wasn't just the goal. 

Torres scuffed his first shot way over the bar, in previous seasons he would have sulked and gone missing. 

This time around he pulled himself up and set up a great assist for Schurrle within 10mins, and gave City's defence real headaches until he kept calm with the empty goal ahead of him - he's panicked with those before.

I'm not rushing out to say "he's back!", but at this stage he's looking sharper and much more confident.  Long may it continue.

couldn't believe it.... but we seem to have trouble against newcastle

just watched the game now, Newcastle sure turn it on for Chelsea.  2 Great goals from them, 2 stupid yellow cards for us, and our lot really struggled to move the ball effectively.  Couldn't believe the number of passes that went astray.

Despite the scoreline, I think JT and Brana played bloody well.
