Now if only the EPL would take such a stance. Mind you, Christian c Ronaldo would be transferring to Spain if this happened. And Drogba.

It would seem that the Ref still has to book them in the first place for 'unsporting behavior' for the simulation, then the SFA are proposing they can add additional punishment for the simulation

And When The Manager Dives..

Can't stand it when Ronaldo wins penalties for diving. Great player, awful cheat when he wants to deceive refs. If he should have earned one against Portsmouth but didn't get it, bad f**ken luck. He created that situation. I have no sympathy for players that cheat, and he's the worst I can think of in the entire Premier League. I don't know why he has yet to be banned for diving. I say that not taking anything away from his footballing ability, just wish he would give the other stuff up.

Do any Ronaldo supporters believe he hasn't won a penalty by diving? What are their views on this one?

You're correct, so much talent and he wastes it taking dives. Ruud Van Diver was another one, he went down quicker than a $2 hooker. Lonegunmen2008-03-09 22:55:10

Didier Diver was another, and Arjen Diver.

If Ronaldo goes to Real Madrid, they will have Ruud van Diver, Arjen Not a Good Diver, and Cheatiano Ronaldo all in the same team - they'll be battling each other to see who can get in the box first so they can fall over! It could even be funny to watch.

Why do I imagine a scene from the Goodies where they all fall over with no one near them?

Another rule change suggestion:

Only team captains should be allowed to approach/ communicate with the referee. The constant whinging at ref in football is a shambles.

Phil, it used to be like that - Only the Captain was allowed to approach a ref and question a decision. everyone else sod off. The worst case sceanrio was the Manure team circling the referee led by that psycho Roy Keane and intimidating them into giving Manure their expected penalty at Old Crapford.

Do we take it that you despise the Scum LG....???

Good point though. Doesn't help if your captain is psychotic however.

I'm not a Manure fan  mainly because they've got away with so much for so long, yet they are just another team and should suffer the same equal refereeing standards as everyone else.

Instead the club if nervous about a referee or an upcoming game try and milk it for all it's worth and try and intimidate the officials before the game has started.

Fergutlesson annoys the sh*t out of me, he never ever acknowledges that his side might have been beaten by the better team on the day. Nope there's always an excuse - referee, fans, lazer pointer, Illness, wind, rain  - circle the one applicable.

Fergie is the classic whinger though, if the refs favour him, he's all out to say that you should criticise the ref blah blah, but as soon as they lose to say Barnsley....then the refs a cheat! Typical rich kid throwing his toys.

Too much whinging in Football, played in the Masters at Dunners, at half time a couple of our supporters start hassling the ref about a slide tackle, the guy was getting the run around by an ex all white, didn't mean to stretch out. sh*t I was so embarrased, bloody petty but a sympton of our game.

The way to stop diving is to penalise/report after the game. NRL style. This crap about the Ref having to pick it up is passing the buck.

Even Fred de Jong on World of Football tonight agrees about Ronaldo and Ferguson, namely diving and whingeing.

I asked for Scum fans on the Man U thread to post some opinions on Ronaldo winning penalties, but strangely there have been no replies....

Even they know the truth that's why. As I said, such talent wasted on theatrics.

Scum fans only seem to notice when penalties AREN'T given that perhaps should have been (e.g. versus Pompey in the FA cup), as opposed to penalties that ARE given when they shouldn't be (e.g. pretty much every other time Ronaldo's fallen over in the box).
