Support Queens Park Rangers- I was born in West London.
Have been back about 10 times now to watch them play. I've
been wasting my saturday nights listening to live commentary and
score updates for about 2 years now.

I go for Bolton.
Why?
Well its a strange story.
The first game of English footaball I ever saw was when I was
about 10, in a hotel room which had Fox. I liked the Bolton uniform
better, and the other team had just done a couple of vicious fouls,
so I decided to go for Bolton. I have done so ever since.
But I follow German, Dutch and Ukrainian football more avidly,
because of my ancestry. So I am very pleased with how Bayern and
PSV are doing in the Champions League this year.

Oh yeah, I also go for any Aussies playing for English teams, hence
Blackburn, Middlesborough, Fulham, Wigan, West Ham, Liverpool,
Newcastle etc.
I have a soft spot for Cardiff, and want them to get promoted
to the Premiership one day.

all the coin that cardiff city have spent over the last few years
same as wolves they should both be there now !!!
And here's me thinking Cardiff was a dangerous place for football
supporters - I must have watched too many episodes of
Torchwood.

I have been supporting Manchester United since 1995. My
reason......The first game I ever watched was United Vs Palace on
25/1/95 when King Eric did his famous kung-fu kick on the fan &
I have been hooked on the Red Devils ever since!!
Everton since I was 10. We were great back then but fell away in
the 90's. Starting to look good again. A trophy would be nice.
My last game I saw was the champions league qualifier against
Villareal at the begining of last season at goodison.

Dundee United. I remember watching their first game and was amazed
at their defence. Also mum and Uncle from their so makes sense.
Even though they are crap its always good. Cant believe that
Scotland is in front of France and Italy in the Euro at the moment.

cannot run a bath never mind the team who cannot even beat israel
saying"its ok we will still get through" hello!!!!!

I have supported Luton Town since I was 11 (soooo many years ago!)
Also Manchester United since I was 12. Got a soft spot for
West Ham too! I'm a footie chick 100%

cardiff is a horrible place to go get of the train dont walk to the
ground u must get taxis !!!

welcome stefanator looking at this post you must have alot of
passionfor soccer"sorry football"

Nooooo not the S word!!!! Yeah, I'm right barmy over footie.
Have watched Luton play at Kenilworth Road and at Newmarket Park in
Auckland in 1977. The Hatters are making me tear my hair out at the
moment! Sell their best players and slide down the ladder faster
than an elevator! Thank goodness the Red Devils are putting the
smile back on my face. One needs it after suffering through
the Kingz and the woeful Knights! I hope we support the team
better than the Aucklanders did. Crowds of 2000 for a city
boasting a population of 1.4 million people is simply pathetic what
ever way you look at it. Congrats to the hardcore fans that
stuck in there to the bitter end!

Oops and thanks for the warm welcome!!!!!

bit of a fickle supporter I suppose, following clubs that played
entertaining football - Spurs in the early 60's, Man United in the
late 60's, Notts Forest in the 70's and now back to Man United ...

Scumdiff!!!!! Soft spot - It's on the top of your noggin.
I'm a Swans fan for more than 40 years. My first football
game was Swans v Cardiff when I was 9.
A rivalry that matches Bhoys V Gers, Liv V Manc.
I could go on, but I guess that's not the point of this forum.
We found at the Bloc that it's best to keep the old country stuff
out of it. It can be a little tiresome.
I'm still gutted the Knights have decamped to Wellywood.
Still good luck for the season.

They haven't - they've been disbanded and some one made the
sensible decision that Auckland didn't have enough support to
warrant a team (or was it money I forget).

Zeph, one thing I think people need to be careful of is sl*gging of
the Auckland fans/support.
The people who were there day in and day out through some awful seasons deserve more credit than that. The Auckland public deserve all the abuse you can heap on them, but people like Dai who stood beside them for 7 seasons deserve some respect (and yes I'm biased).

Supported Liverpool when I was a kid. My first English football memory is watching an FA Cup final between Everton and Liverpool. Then it drifted off TV and so stopped following it. Like someone else, got hooked back on it thanks to Cantona and so started keeping track of results again.
But truth be told I can't say I'm an overly devout fan, I'm just glad someone other than Chelsea is winning this season. In fact I would probably be happier if someone outside the big clubs won it.Also will be hoping Blackburn take out the FA cup just cost
Ryan Nelsen plays for them. So I'm really a bit of a
premiership-whore I guess.

Sorry Nembo, however if there's an English side I support it
would be Nottingham Forest. Watched them play on the
tv when I was a kid and drew the relationship with Robin Hood
and hey presto I had a team. Made sense when I was 6.
That said I prefer the Bundesliga, a good close
competition. Go Nurnberg.

Among other non-british teams, I support Arsenal. The way they play
really is beautiful to watch and even those who don't like arsenal
can't deny that Henry, among others arsenal players, really are
brilliant. I'd also like 2 say that i don't c y everyone supports
england. Yes, most of us are of english descent but it doesn't take
a genius 2 work out the reason they havent won anything 4 ages is
because they rnt that good at all.
