Glad to see a Villian here.

COME ON VILLA!!!
Yeah - nice to see another Villa fan on here.  I hope there will be a few more that come out of the woodwork!

Having said that, as I stated in my previous post, I am very optimistic for the future.  We have the right manager and the right owner now.  Everything is set for us to move things onwards and upwards.  Like you, I'm REALLY looking forward to some silverware - it's been a LONG time (11 years) since the last trophy (I've blanked out the F.A. Cup loss in 2000!)  We should set our sights higher than just beating and finishing above the Bluenoses - let them worry about us instead!

BTW - have you seen the new badge/crest?  What do you think?  I think it's a bit of a missed opportunity, but I don't hate it as much as some of the posters on the heroesandvillains.info forum.  Let's see what it looks like on the new Nike shirt next season...

Wahey! Here's another one!

Only for ~12 years though, guess that makes me a newbie. :-)

There's a pretty good vibe about the Villa these days.... that we're heading in the right direction at least.

I've a similar feeling about the badge/crest. I don't hate it but it could've been better - I'm a graphic/web designer by trade and feel there's some stuff there that's not quite right. But in the end it's the team that makes the badge, not the other way round.

LEEDS! Only for about about 8 years, got into football about the time Leeds were doing well. Watched them as they had a few familiar names with the aussies and danny hay.

As for this season, its been a great pre season so far so go the WHITES!

Awsome mate welcome to the fourm and great to see another Aston Villa fan here. Yeah the badge isnt the greatest but it will do IMO. Im more excited about the new home and away kit and cant wait to see what it looks like. and the signings are showing good signs with Reo-Coker signed and rumors with some good players. UP THE VILLA!

Yeah, what a difference a year makes.

I'm feeling pretty good about things at the moment, and even if we didn't sign anyone else, I'd still have a (probably unjustified) fairly confident mood about the season ahead.

Certainly looking forward to Leeds going to Vale. What with Forest and Leeds having a crack at Div 1 - the division is finally attracting the big name clubs!!

Well i hope your fairly confident mood is still there after O'Niell has only signed 3 players so far if i can remember correctly. But he has got rid of some of the sh*t players.

Chelsea. Doesn't seem to be many of us floeating around here. Good to see some lower league clubs being followed. I've been over here 15 months and miss going to the match s*it loads. had my first season ticket 84/85 when we just been promoted back to top flight. I was 4 yrs old and have been going home and away(and europe) most years since. See, there are some pre-Abromovich fans around that have seen us relegated, promoted, and top of the lot, winning the Zenith Data Systems Cup against Boro in 88/89.

Welcome London Blue, been here 18 years, saw my first Chelsea game in 1979 and started going home and away a couple of years later for 8 years solid till coming over here in 89.(Best day out - Chelsea 5 -Man City 4, Full Members Cup, Wembley 1986, 12 hours of mayhem lol)
Loved the old Bridge, have been to the new one which is something quite different only once, been back a few times to see us lose in 2 FA Cup Finals, swore never to go again as i must have been a curse.
Will be taking my 2 boys back in the not too distant future for thier first live Blue experience.
Miss the pubs and general football culture.
Hate Liverpool and Arsenal with a passion,  and am costantly amused by the Yids, Spammers and Leeds fans.

Followed Crewe Alex since 1982 when the were the strongest team in the league(24th in Div4, and holding evrybody else up). Always punch above their weight, except when everbody else is punching them, produced some great players and always give youth a chance. Still cop abit of crap and a few giggles when people see the shirt and realise its not liverpool but Crewe.

Hull City

coz i was born there, my grandad supported them, so does my dad

because we moved alot  i only saw them regularly  in the 71-72 & 72-73 seasons

favourite memory beating west ham 1-0 fa cup 4th round 73 (the year sunderland beat leeds 1-0 in the final)

McKechnie, Banks,De vries, Kaye, Neill, Knighton, Lord, Houghton, Pearson, Waggy, Butler - magic!

Until 71 I'd lived here most of my life and i couldn't believe the atmosphere at Boothferry Park, a wee bit different to Horton Park in Blenheim.

Let's make some atmosphere in Wellington!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boro since I was 5 (in 1969) and old enough to walk the 100 yards to Ayresome park with my mates and crawl under the turnstiles. I must admit at that age we were spell bound by the Atmosphere and The old Holgate End singing. I've been hooked ever since.

Everton. My family are from Liverpool and have supporting Everton since the club was formed. I really didn't have a choice. Call it indoctrination I guess. I did have a big burst of doubt when all those racist (john Barnes and bananas incident...) scum seemed to be in every crowd. They went and, in a sense, I'm still there. Got some comfort from my friend Shay, he's black, who said "we leave, they win!'.

First game I ever saw in England, 1982, was Everton versus Liverpool. Still have pieces of the atmosphere.

Lived in London for nearly twenty years very close to Selhurst Park and do keep an eye out for their, Crystal Palace, result.. sort of.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

The mighty Clarets from Turf Moor - Burnley FC.  Since 1973. Just because!

Come on you Clarets!

Probably the only person around here who hopes that Ryan Nelsen loses every week!

another bump...Middlesbrough..obviously.  Born there but emigrated when I was nearly two.  Started supporting when I was about 10 and my grandad who was season ticket holder started sending me programmes and gazette clippings.  Have seen them play once in 2006.  Biggest moments..Carling Cup win, FA Cup Final appearance(misnomer for loser) and UEFA Cup Final appearance(bigger misnomer).  Cmon Boro...and Nix.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen
