He doesn't want to come wants more money and to go to Olympic Marseille,I see Liverpool may be weighing up a bid for Joao Mountino a long time target of ours although it's the usual tabloid rumour

But as we only usually do business at 23.59 on the 31st August there are only so many signings we can get done, i'm picking one big signing like last season maybe a couple on free transfers with hope all our injured players come back into the fold early on in the season it would be nice to see the Yak, Mikel,Jag's come back and show us what we missed last season oh and a R.B to give Tony Hibbert the hurry up.

Be good to see what qualities our new recruits, Yakubu, Arteta and Jagielka, bring to the squad.

Paul Scholes? WTF. Please no. Was a fantastic player, still pretty decent but too old for the money we'd need for him.

Its no longer a problem.

I saw a rumour about Tim leaving... surely not?!

As for scholes can't say i'm convinced he'd be worth it.

Jo is to return to Everton on loan for the whole of next season (Mirror).

The club is tracking 5m-rated Sweden Under-21 striker Marcus Berg, who plays for Groningen.

Everton are stepping up their attempts to land Reading duo Kevin Doyle and Stephen Hunt after Brendan Rogers said he was prepared to sell. (Sun)

David Moyes has begun trimming his squad by releasing Nuno Valente and Andy van der Meyde. (Goal)

Manchester United's Portuguese flop Nani could be sent out on loan to Everton as Sir Alex Ferguson bids to give the young winger more first team opportunities.

David Moyes is also expected to remain in the hunt for long time targets Joao Moutinho (Setanta) of Sporting Lisbon, and Standard Liege's Steven Defour.

Steven Pienaar is a target for Atletico Madrid. (Daily Mail)

Everton striker Yakubu is hoping to be fit for the start of next season.

The 26-year-old Nigerian International has not played since suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon at Tottenham Hotspur last November.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Paul Scholes is too old, Davie has been trying to build a solid youngish squad that will go on to play for years. Scholes  no disrespect doesn't fit that bill we we're also linked earlier with Gary Neville as well so another beat up, Timmy wont go though, will he ?
Oh and I really really really hope Citeh sign John Terry and keep their hands off our Joleon Lescott

Nani on loan would be pretty sweet, sounds unlikely though. tim would be a huge loss imo and i hope moyes is doing everything he can to keep himchocnut2009-07-07 00:07:41

I dont think Tim would leave because of a cold climate. Also, I dont think we can rely on the tabloids, how reliable is 'friends'? He has consistently said about how much he loves Everton, he wouldnt want to suddenly leave after 5 years living in England.
About targets, we really need a good RB. We have been linked to Kyle Naughton and Fabian Delph. These players have good potential but not the ability to instantly improve the team

Never forget, Rooney was as Blue as Blue can be,a die hard Bluenose from a family of die hard Bluenoses...Tim will do what Tim wants to do, no matter what he's said in the past.

Meh No real 1st teamer's most are still on holiday having being involved with their respective countries.
Signing Jo up again is good at least we have a striker base now ready to go and i see we've had a bid for Kyle Naughtan from Sheffield United a pacy fullback and at 20 years of age fit's Davey's bill of building a young squad to play together for many years to come

Tottenham have signed Naughton from United, one of our transfer targets. How many RBs do spurs need? Corluka, Chimbonda, Gunter, Naughton, Kyle Walker. Meanwhile we have Hibbert. They must be attempting to sign as many RBs as City have strikers

Yes but you got to think why you may have signed him, Opens up for Senderos in and Lescott out?

Nah, I hope not and don't think so, at the moment we only have 3 centre backs and with Jag's still a long way off from playing we need cover I'll admit a bolt out of the blue but a good solid signing (if we do in fact get his pen to paper on a contract) to bolster our pretty thread bare squad.
We don't have to sell Lescott although the money on offer would help us buy a few more players granted, he is too good for us to let go.
