close to 3 points (again) at emirates

most refs would have disallowed diame's - glad this one didn't

superb by Hernandez,

our midfield worked hard - shame about the three injuries Dawson's looked the least serious

Well done Hull

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

I thought hulls midfield did a great job of hassling the gunners off the ball this morning.  Very positive signs

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

would have loved the 3 points Oi Oi but I think they had 20 more shots than us , so i'll not grumble :)

we have the most proper footballers we've ever had so that's good

to bring on someone like Gaston Ramires is a bit special for our club

Huddlestone (apart from 1 suicidal square pass) looked all class - he seems to have so much time when he's on the ball

will love to see Hatem when he's not playing defensive left mid

Huddlestone had his best game all season i reckon (apart from 1 suicidal square pass)  - he seems to have so much time when he's on the ball

and Livermore ran his bollocks off

and Mo- the Emirates Strangler - Diame is scoring for fun

he is everything that Seyi Olofinjana wasn't

another good away point

the lads who came in did a good job, nice to see Brady and (at the end) Aluko

at one point at about 23 mins we put together 10 or 12 passes - 1 and 2 touch - and they couldn't get near us

oooo, this is seeing a bit of the gloss go from our start to the season

2 losses in a row

Burnley wanted it more than we did and dominated

We need Jela and Dawson back - and I wouldn't be surprised if Meyler gets a run soon for Bruce to make a point about wanting players to have a decent attitude

I wonder when we'll see Gaston start

and no chance to put it right for a fortnight!

tough run coming up, we'll need a lot more than we showed today

Roberston, Brady, Meyler all doing well in midweek internationals

Dawson and Jela probably fit

I'd recommend enjoying Diame now because he will only have about 5 games of giving a fuck left, before he turns into a mardy cunt who can rival a mid contract Adebayor for lack of effort.

Is Bruce under any pressure there?  I recall reading something a week or so ago that stated he had actually won a very small number of games in this calendar year. He's spent a decent amount of money on some good players but ultimately if he is trying to impose defensive responsibilities on a player like Hatem Ben Arfa then surely he is not the person to be in charge of them

Diame might fade but we can cope if that happens, to be honest there are times when he wants too much of the ball

Steve Bruce can do no wrong (at least so far and for the foreseeable future)

Ben Arfa has coped well with the idea of being a team player recently, but I'd love to see him being given a bit of freedom

Pissed off that we have to wait until Monday am to end the international window

This is from Football365

Hull have mustered six Premier League wins in the whole of 2014 and the scorelines for their last three games read 0-0, 0-1, 0-1. As we approach the three-year anniversary of Bruce being sacked by Sunderland for a poor calendar year (featuring eight wins) then he must be starting to get nervous.

As is the case when any manager starts to be put under pressure, I look at what they are able to replace them with - in the case of Hull is there anyone available to them who would be a significant upgrade on Steve Bruce? I cannot really think of anyone.

Hhmm, still a huge fan of Steve Bruce,

the wheels are still on but they are a bit wobbly

rumours of us signing Aaron Lennon

two tough away games for us, then West Brom at home

I wonder if we can blag a point off Everton

our 1st time in the relegation zone on this trip to the Prem - not ideal, hopefully a temporary feeling

I am beginning to take an unhealthy interest in Hull City (not a good sign). Good point for your lads this morning.

I know, I know, its serious!

It felt like a very precious point!!  ..... Almost high-fived my boss during a meeting with externals.

Let's just both stay up and we can continue our 'marginally competent derby'

Was intrigued that Boyd condemned us to 24 hours in the relegation zone

so a home draw against WBA and a gallant defeat v Chelsea

we were in the Chelsea game until Huddlestone got sent off

shame Cahill didn't get booked for his dive (certainly no consistency from the ref)

getting a bit worried - need to start scoring again

this is getting a bit gnarly

whew, it's been a while

3 precious points , especially after our nightmare start

Ramirez, Chester, Jelavic - #BOOM !!

Permalink Permalink

the loss to Leicester is thankfully followed by the solid 2-0 win v Everton

Elmo & Jela with the goals

Abel Hernandez looked good

injuries to both Robertson and his replacement Rosenior a bit of a worry

Permalink Permalink

so with Jela and Hernandez joining the injured list we've apparently tried young centre back Harry McGuire up top in training - apparently it hasn't really worked

clutching at the straw that West Ham will be tired after extra time in cup mid-week (shame we are a Sunday game)

At half time i thought I'd return to work tomorrow with a smile on my face - that's less likely now.

Glad we have 13 days to get some players closer to returning from the treatment room.

continuing our trend of playing well for 35-45 minutes then getting smacked around for the remainder of the match

Next weekend, Man City might just cut straight to the 2nd act

Once we are actually safe LG, you are welcome to have a miracle run to stay up!

Pleased with that point away to reigning Champions, nice work by Brady to start the move then Aluko, Livermore, Ramirez and MEYLER in the pinball move to put us in the lead for about 54 mins

we'll need the same application at home and away between now and a tricky last month

Dame N'Doye

The big postman has delivered already, hopefully more to come.

Epic work morning football, ran out of data on the bus, and hardly caught a glance at the match due to meetings and meeting prep

saw last 2 mins of injury time

It would be a nicer world if we don't drop back into the bottom 3 again this season.

good win for your lot LG, as Huddlestone said, it's good cos it won't be us that you break the hoodoo on

Leroy Fer being out should help us, then you can win a few :)

6 pointer for both teams. The Villa game for us will be interesting too. Fingers crossed we both stay up.

nice to get the win at the end

Jela and Dame N'Doye score again to give us our 1st back-to-back wins in 17 months

4 points clear now - C'MON!

0-0 at Leicester had the best two chances of the match but ....

that Burnley win puts the drop zone a bit close

not sure how the hell Villa decided that they would score 4 away goals at sunderland

crazy goings on

need to take that performance and attitude into our remaining games

nice to pull 2 back and be drawing at halftime - shame it didn't piss down right then and flood the pitch (with a-league rules of course)

well. we looked good for the 1st 8-10 minutes in each half

Nice to see McShane score but sentiments don't keep teams up

Diame back which should help

next up Soton away

I don't think you need to beat us Leggy.

I expect by then you will have booked a spot in UCL and be more than 3 points away from whoever might be a place above you

so your players can just relax and think about a holiday (I only want ehat's best for them)
