Because of the ongoing Allam madness or something else??

Premier league pass should still exist - to be honest I'm not much good at watching City play with fans of the opposition

I'd be happy if your lot stay but I'd quite like those 3 points

ah, fish brain must have struck, i came to the thread a few mins ago to note that we had agreed a fee w/ spurs for Livermore, chatted a bit and forgot

hopefully personal terms will be striaght forward

Snodgrass signed

retro name, angry little bugger, ex-Leeds

hhmmm - I wonder if this says anything about robbie brady's future at the club?

Thomas Ince has signed for 2 years

with him and Snodgrass, Robbie Brady will have to work hard to get this starting role back

So we play AS Trencin that famous Slovakian powerhouse, in our first European match since the Anglo-Italian cup days of the early 70's (last century folks)

when from memory we beat Lazio at our place- I was there!

have agreed fees with dundee Utd for Andy Robertson

and w/ Sheff U for Harry Mcguire

talking to arsenal about a loan of Carl Jenkinson

getting a squad together

I still get a surprise sometimes when I realise we are in the Premieir League - 4 seasons now out of about 111

What became of Jay Simpson? So much promise. I hoped QPR would sign him after his loan ran out.

he could do some special stuff but it was all a bit sporadic

a bit like Nick Proswitch ( NP is a different style of player but equally, if not even more inconsistent) - we are pretty keen to off-load him

just seen this LG http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/former-arsenal-st...

seems he's off to Leyton Orient

Oh dear, that's disappointing. I hope he finds his way again.

Wankers!  (;0)You had something like 39% of the possesion, burgled a goal off Rio Ferdinand's slack arse marking - no wonder United got shot of him. Your scorer had a dream game in defence and between him and your over worked goalkeeper, you hung on. I don't think the penalty was one but I do think we deserved one towards the end of the first half when Remys legs disappeared.

I'll take the 3 points LG

early days yet, for both sides but I wouldn't swap squads or manager

shame about Snodgrass's injury, looks like 5-6 months out

Permalink Permalink

That is a shame. I hope he recovers earlier. Decent player. Yiu actually have a half decent squad, I hope others under estimate you at their cost.

cheers LG

your lot could do with a point or 2 to settle the nerves

We've signed Dawson from spurs so that'll help strengthen our squad

need a striker though and it's not looking like Jordan Rhodes will join us

Shit. You guys have done alright in the window. Are you moving up from bottom-feeder category? The devil may be in the wage bill, but looks very promising.

I know, I know, its serious!

Did I read right? Ben Hatem? Major score Tigers, and Dawson too. Job well done.

yes, I'm still in shock we spent 40m and recouped 15m

hopefully the increased tv money will cover the wage bills- staying up would seem a good idea

it's arguable that we've got a proper EPL squad now

I can't wait to see Ben Afra on the ball and have high hopes for Abel Hernandez

whew ...

Boyd might be a good acquisition for your lot

i wonder when our too 'grudge' matches are? I expect i still owe you a beer from championship days :)

Permalink Permalink

Cheers LG, you might have read more right if you'd read Ben Arfa , not Ben Hatem ;-)

your lot have signed a few too

but you might miss Loic Remy

Permalink Permalink

Remy is all about the money. I hope he fails at Chelski. We need a striker but Borini for all hisnpiss poor scoring record wanted 90k per week. He's worth 9k at the most.

Loan window and two strikers required. United to wi. Their first game of the season, naturally it had to be against us. Wwe specialise in gifting such things. Like players scoring their first ever league goals.

Money? He's gone from a team likely to scrap against relegation to the title favorites.

You know we belong together...

Permalink Permalink

Not much use in being at a club that is going to be title favourites and you are not playing. Kind of a hollow victory. At QPR he was pretty much guaranteed a start every game, now he will be warming a bench for te most part. If you can call that progression, good on you.

He's behind Costa, but will get plenty of time ahead of a 36 year old Drog. He can play wide as well. Mourinho rotates a fair bit as well, look at how much time Eto'o, Torres and Ba all got last season. If you want to be at a big club you need to be prepared to not play every game, no footballer on the planet would turn down the spot Remy's got now in favour of QPR, particularly if he's getting paid more.

I hope he is getting paid more, was on 80k at our place. Back to Hull, Ben is going to make a BIG difference. What a decent squad you have Tigers. I am going to suggest 9th place for you guys if not higher!

I'd settle for 14th or above

and if push came to shove 17th would be bearable

top half would be a bit surreal - great signings though and another good cup run would be nice

can't wait for the visit of West Ham - and the chance to see some of the new lads!

Gift eh? You read (www.ukyahoo.com latest) about the guy that won 23,000 pounds for a fiver on a nine match accumulator where he needed this final result to cash in?

we seem to have forgotten our script, don't let many in and score 1 or 2

i suppose this seasons openness is better for the neutrals, and touch wood we are off to a good start, albeit with stronger opposition to come

Diame has made a fine start and 2 class goals v Newc, shame about the other end

Permalink Permalink

A lead is not much use if we can't fucking defend it!!

I guess that might not be a problem v Man C

Permalink Permalink

no lead to protect v Man C, but we did have 20 or so minutes when we hauled level at 2-2 were we were playing good football

this week never looked in too much trouble v Palace and Diame and Jela continued their goals scoring form (nice final pass for both the goals Robertson & Livermore)
