Jens Lehmann = complete prick

he is crazy..  I could imagine the frustration of losing your place in the starting 11 to your junior, but at that level professionalism and team players are paramount. Jens doesnt do either. Regardless, he is gone now and manny is going to be the starting keeper allowing Jens to head back home and try to get in favour for Euro2008..

Lehmann is rapidly making a complete joke of himself and his past excellent achievements as a player. All those things will be forgotten as he is remembered as the dickhead he insists on being.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Yup complete nutter, and useless to boot. That penaly from Hargreaves was not that tough to stop or at least make an effort to stop he, instead the crazy German stands and looks at it as the game goes bye bye!!! Can't wait to see him gone~!

Snell, snell guys. You all know that keepers have the CRAZY gene, and Jens is no execption to that rule, He surley is no more of nutter than Bartez, Grobbelar or Higita. Sure you would hope that his age and expereince would chill him out, But German is just one of those who will never change.

Thanks Jens, your performances will be forgotten quickly, your antics however will not be.

yeh that was a great set piece perfectly placed by Hargreaves...you notice the wall was fooled and didn't jump..which should have cut it out, and that Anderson was blocking Lehmans view. He couldn't see what was happening and probably expecting Ronaldo to take it...

Very good comments. There is no way Lehmann was at fault for that goal. In fact he had a very good game. I for one will miss him. I loved his antics, and i loved it when he picked up a yellow in the game yesterday - wouldn't be a Lehmann performance without a card.

Yes he is an idiot and says some stupid things but I love his character, and if anything it certainly gave Almunia incentive to lift his game.

He's a c**t but it's a fantastic attitude to have as a player, especially a goalkeeper. Just needs to keep it to himself and not go to the press every time Arsene puts him in the timeout chair.

There was no way any keeper was saving that free kick it was simply amazing.

I agree it was a superb free kick almost impossible to stop unless Hargeaves told Jens where it was heading beforehand.

Three for me, and two for them.

I had the same sentiment. Hargreaves is very good from that distance. Combine that with Arsenal expecting an outswinger from Ronaldo and that's why the wall wasn't ready to jump...

Well taken goal, no complaints on Lehmann for that...

I disagree totally that the freekick couldn't have been stopped. Firstly yes it was quality and sure Lehmann could be forgiven for thinking Ronaldo was going to take it - not! anyone could have taken it and as a keeper he should be ready for anything.

The fact that the wall miss timed their jump didn't help, but still he stood there looking like a complete dummy - no effort to move towards the shot....I'd forgive him if he'd made some effort. Of course he's probably blaming Almunia for being injured......

that is absolutely ridiculous mate, no goalkeeper in the world could have stopped that, it was perfect, it curled into the sidenetting ffs.

I agree it was a well taken free kick, but it wasnt unstoppable. and to say no goal keeper in the world could have gotten that is pretty far fetched. perhaps in the form VDSar was in he could have, perhaps Almunia could have, even crazy jens, if he wasnt caught eyeing up ronaldo and standing at the otherside of the goalmouth where he got stranded.

not to take anything away from a superb winner from hargreaves, but the defence were napping and it was stoppable..

What i dont get is...didnt he get the chance to move to like bayern munich or something in january but turn it down? Its his own fault if he doesnt get into the german team

Allegedly

That's a crock of sh*te, any keeper on their day could have stopped it, the fact that is annoying me is that Lehmann stood there looking completely fooled by it! and it wasn't that hard to pick, right foot kicker, curls the ball left - wel duh! He made no effort, henceforth and good freekick was made to look even better.

What's German for "f%@k all, you're gonna win..."?

Apologies gooners posters. But I have resisted the temptation for 48 hours...this is clearly a weaker moment
