I can't prove my source as it's only by word of mouth but the transfer should be confirmed within the next 48 hours and possibly as early as tommorow evening.

Chelsea and Inter have agreed a fee of 9 million and Lampard will sign a 4 year deal worth 125,000 a week.

Isn't his contract up after the next season? possibly Chelsea looking to cash in before he leaves for nothing.

9 million would be about a dollar per kilo?

Sounds cheap.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Fair price especially for a slow fat midfield player that can't score in big games !!!!!!!!!!!  ..as any  of you have been saying all of last season. May be watching a bit of Milan next season, Lampard, Drogba, Carvallo............

Over-rated players still command big transfer fees, especially when they're English (although I don't recall making such statements).

Big Ben Pies are resigned to having a 10% downturn in profit should Lampard go to Italy. The manufacturer of the world famous pies has conceded it would seriously affect sales in their London catchment area.

Funny, I couldv'e sworn he scored in the champions league final...

If he goes, it will be for a lot more than 9 million pound.

Think Chelski will be fine without him, Essien and ballack are better than him anyway.

Tell that to a few Arsenal supporters on here "he' can't score in big matches" If Lampard goes it will be disappointing but agree with Essien and Ballack are playing way better, plus if David Villa is up front, Drobga won't be missed either.

Who would honestly want Drogba on their team? He's an embarrasment.

Three for me, and two for them.

Villa won't go to Chelski. End of.

I have to say I find the idea of Fat Frank going to Seria A a bit comical.
I know Mourinho rates him as the best professional he's ever worked with, but he just doesn't have the technical ability to be a major player for Inter. Find it very strange.

Sell him I say. They'd get quite a bit for him and he's approaching his downhill slope. And it's not like his type of player is irreplaceable. Hell, Steve Sidwell could probably do the same job given the chance.

lol drogba changed last season steadily from an 'amazing' player to a absolute whinger, he thinks hes bigger than the rest of the team, the club, everything, u just have to watch how he acts and holds himself on the field, why on earth would u want that thing on your team, all he does anymore is expect people to do everything for him and fall over then sulk for 5 mins whenever anyone shoulder to shoulder challenges him.

Drogba = epic fail

cause he scored 15 goals in 29 games. who cares if he's sulking if he scores at that rate he's doing his job. rooney is the biggest sulker in the game, all he does is cried to the ref, add to that he couldnt score in a brothel and drogba isnt looking such a bad prospect in comparison.

if you're going to be a whiner, at least score goals.

are you kidding, drogba was the biggest complainer to the referee in the prem last season in exactly the same way ronaldo does, and i dont deny that, they get touched and will dstop paying because they expect a foul, and have a go when they don't get it. i'm sick of people berating rooney because he does not score enough, he does much more than score goals. he has been near top of the assist charts for the last 2 years and only challenged by another striker in that respect by berbatov, who equalled him 2 years ago, ronaldo scores so many because hes got people like rooney working for him. if drogba worked half as much as him chelsea might have scored a few more muso2008-06-27 18:15:13

Says he and lives. Drogba and Rooney are completely different players, and there's no meaningful comparison between them. Drogba plays a lone role up front, and does that superbly - has the strength and technique to hold the ball up, is strong in the air, also has a good instinct for goal and his finishing is pretty good. Rooney often plays in a 3-man forward line (usually with Ronaldo and Tevez), plays from a much deeper position and therefore needs to combine with his partners more often in order for the forward line to be effective. I'd have either of them on my team any day.
