Liverpool Thread - Premier League Champions* 2019/20 (Part 1)
Yes, but Wigan are a real class side as well. I'm sure they're gutted they only drew with Liverpool.
Hopefully Rafa's give a few of the young player a game. I would like to see Babel playing up front with Lucas in the Mid field and Insua at left back i saw him (Insua) play against the socceroo last year he looks like he has the goods be a top player.
Apparantly Rafas' not worried about his job, but I think the time the finger of blame starts pointing at the manager is fast approaching.
I've never liked his rotation policy, never liked him playing Stevie G out of position often, never liked the fact that we've focussed on cup competions while falling short in the league, but I've always thought that Rafa would be the one to bring home that first Prem title.Apparantly Rafas' not worried about his job, but I think the time the finger of blame starts pointing at the manager is fast approaching.

as for focusing on the cups, its fair enough because at the moment we don't have a squad capable enough to last and preform consistently enough for the duration of a whole season.
we need at least a new..
-Left Full back
-Center half
-Right Winger
-Forward
as well as making Mascherano's move permanent
and get rid of
Kuyt
Crouch
Sissoko
Riise
Aurielo
Voronin
we can make some cash from them.
also seems we have some good young fringe playerrs getting some 1st team action like hobbs. lucas, insua,

Soccernet has an interesting (and unbiased for once) interview with Carra and he's baffled why Hicks and Gillet get asked every 2nd day if they're gonna sack Rafa.
I think you've gotta ask yourself, so we sack Rafa, who exactly are we going to replace him with?
Who's better? Mourinho? Rikaard if he gets the boot from Barca? (not saying they are bettering, just offering them up)
I agree some of his transfers haven't worked out, also he needs to replace paco as he's trying to do to much himself. His "rotation policy" is massively over exaggerated by the press and has also put us in good stead at the end on each season when we've gone on to win and come 2nd in the champs league.

Yeah, looking increasingly unlikely, even with the game in hand over the rest...
Sad times, and just when we could use a bit of stability to steady the ship, the whole Manager debacle is coming to a head. While I've got my reservations about Rafa's performance, the last thing we need is to go through the dramas of replacing a manager.
And I thought this year was ours for the taking. Here's hoping the Scum and the rest of 'em catch a bit of that draw flu that we seem to have at the moment.
No one else did.
Takes a cold, cold heart to kick a man while he's down...

AHAHAAHAHHAHAHHAHAH
Why the dollar sign?
Net Spend 1992/93 to 2007/08 Seasons:
Liverpool 174,810,000
Arsenal 61,876,000
Net spend per manager 2004/05 to 2007/08:
Benitez 83,670,000
Wenger 8,120,000
Edit: these were initially based on an older version of the spreadsheet. I've now adjusted the figures for the latest stats.
And my point still comprehensively stands.
