How fitting that a penalty was involved.

Yahooooo!!!

How fitting that Ryan Giggs scores the goal that secures us the title and equals the club record for most appearances of 758 games. Legend!

lol well at least it was a legitimate penalty, and wigan were very lucky not to have conceded a second. how neither the linesman nor the referee saw bramble clearly miss the ball and take down scholes is beyond me.

the verdict is still out on whether scholes should have stayed on the pitch i guess, but the referee handled the situation well. scholes shouldnt have got in that situation, but the wigan guy looked like he was looking for the contact...

They should of realised he took the man when it was Titf**k Bumble involved.

Well done Utd. Played the better football all season out of you and Chelski.

Well done Man U, with Ronaldo leading from the front the way he has this season you are worthy winners of the Prem title (as much as it pains me to say so).

Here's to a great game in Moscow, similar to 2 weeks ago at the Bridge....and not a tactical boring game of chess....

C'mon Chelsea!!!

No sour grapes from me Uber me old mate.  Word of advice though, if you do want to associate yourself with the BB at every opportunity best not to piss off potential custom.

Once again lads, MASSIVE! Cheers for the congrats Coxey, When CR missed, I, like everyone else I guess, just assumed we were doomed... But Terry, and Anelka, huge!!! So excited. Drogba, what was he thinking?! But a decent game of footy with chances at both ends.

What am I doing at work today... Should be out celebrating!

I was going to come in here and congratulate Man U on shading a fine game.  But comments like that underline why I'm wasting my time.  What game were you watching son?

Callum just showed why a lot of peolpe wanted Chelsea to win. It clearly a close game. While I feel both had there fair share of crowding the ref.chrfit2008-05-23 09:13:38

Didn't really care who won, to be honest. Good game though. I do feel a bit sorry for John Terry. No-one deserves to feel like he must have felt the next morning.

I did have the pleasure of winding up a Chelsea fan at work by telling him that Partick Thistle won bugger all this season as well, but we did it a lot cheaper than Chelsea did

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Yea i was watcxhing the same game as u buddy. To not tell me that chelsea players surround the ref on every f**king call is bollocks mate even the commentators were getting sick of it! I was glad to see Drogba sent off as Chelsea deserved it. Diving all over the show Joe Cole.

I haven't but I would be very surprised if they don't loan him out. I can't see him breaking into the united 1st team anytime soon.

I heard they're working on a deal with Hull for Campbell, possibly 5million, though can't see it being that high. United are also closing in on Cardiff midfielder Aaron Ramsey, only 17.

Yeah he's a good prospect. Liverpool, Everton and the Arse all want a piece as well, United have the edge at the mo as they will loan him straight back to Cardiff for next season.

It's interesting to see how this Berbatov thing plays out, we can't be too forceful about it as it would be slightly hypocritical considering whats happening with regards to Madrid and Cristiano.

Would absolutely love to see him in a red shirt, though I'm sure Tottenham aren't too keen.

man i hate madrid, they just buy players who are in form and then they deterriorate. I hope Berbatov comes. Fergie seems pretty keen. And Campbell can stay at Hull.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy tonight issued the following statement on his club's official website, www.tottenhamhotspur.com: 'Today's public comments by Manchester United's manager, announcing that he has made an offer for Dimitar and is confident that the deal will go through with time working in their favour, is a blatant example of sheer arrogance and interference with one of our players. 'It is also probably one of the worst offences by any manager in the Premier League to date and is unbelievably hypocritical given his recent comments in respect of Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid. 'This comes after a series of events, dating back to last summer, which have shown Manchester United to be in breach of Premier League rules. 'As a result, we have today made an official complaint to the Premier League about the conduct of Manchester United.

What a bloody joke. I mean, I understand when a team wants to keep hold of it's players (Cristiano is the obvious example), but Ramos said yesterday or the day before that he would consider selling Berbatov. It's important to be respectful to every player and team, but then Sir Alex reckons he never actually said the targets name, the newspaper just guessed (correctly it seemed). "One of the worst offences by any manager in the Premier League to date"????

On the other hand, if Liverpool get pinged for doing nothing it will be brilliant, though probably not for the integrity of the game or the EPL.

Drew 1-1 with Kaiser Chiefs at that stadium right by Table Mountain, I think its Newlands? Chris Eagles got the equalizer. Hopefully Sir Alex is thinking he's Cristiano's replacement while he's injured

I'd hate to see Berbatov come to Old Trafford, just don't think he'd fit in. Would prefer to have Dean Ashton as a big man up front.
