Both his outbursts (this interview and when he refused to come on as a sub) have had hilarious timing - both after games which have shown how much better we've played without him.
...and just how pathetic is it purposely shaking certain pundits hands and not others.
I liked The Guardian article about the situation, "Only by ridding Manchester United of Ronaldo can Ronaldo hope to remedy some of the problems he, Ronaldo, correctly identifies."
Thought occurs that he doesn’t really have that many genuine friendships in England, or it would have never come to this. Considering that, it’s sad after he was there so long.
surely he would have made friends within the team and outside the club in his first stint? He was there for 6 years. Considering all the money he gives to charitable organisations I wouldnt think he was a horrible dude to know and be friends with? Although the current dramas, amongst tax avoidance and being a little handsy with the ladies would suggest otherwise.
Just saw Part One of the interview - nothing controversial said.....if you take snippets out of context, I can see how 60 second clips can be inflammatory, but there really wasn't anything outlandish there. Part Two tomorrow.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/world-game/300742521/cristiano-ronaldo-claims-manchester-united-cut-my-legs-in-explosive-interview referring to the Tottenham game where he left early after refusing to go on as a sub for a few mintes to clsoe out the game “Not allowed for me, a coach to put me in three minutes in a game. Sorry, I'm not that kind of player. I know what I can give to teams.” It's fine to know what you offer and expect to get more than 3/4 minutes at the end but if your manager wants you to go on at that time then you do it. Unless you think such treatment is an insult and therefore blame the manager for causing the whole incident. What an absolute arrongant SOB!
Manchester City football: Pass the ball sideways, pass the ball sideways, Haaland two hand pushes a defender and does nothing, pass the ball sideways, pass the ball sideways, someone comes within an inch of a City player... ARMS IN THE AIR COMPLAIN COMPLAIN
Don't forget "we're getting counter-attacked, better simply grab the attacker to stop that from happening"
Tactical genius pep: "1 shot on target but at least we had 71%?!?!?" and don't forget the classic "sub off Foden for my £100m winger, oh look what a genius I am"
An excellent run of form comes to an end, with VAR denying us a stonewall penalty, 2 minutes later (when it should've been 2-0) Casemiro needs to make a challenge which earns him a yellow card (missing match vs Arsenal), and then Palace go on to score from a free kick.
Obviously VAR is just a clown show but after the City game we heard endless conspiracy theories about United. Turns out the big conspiracy is for Arsenal! 😂😂
I see blue sock in front of both white socks, unless that image is wonky in some way it looks to me as though the Palace player is ahead of the united player, and the united player's pink boot is behind the knee of the Palace player. Just what i see, I dodnt watch the game and realise that on image is not th best way to identify contact or anything.
Not really sure the Weghorst is the right player for this team at the moment. Not sure if you had Martial, Wood and Weghorst as 3 options the Kiwi wouldn’t get a fair look in there! But I’ll guess we’ll see.
Really like the guy but was at fault twice for their first goal. Tough to come in without much football against a team as switched on as this Arsenal team though. And no Casemiro.
Wan-Bissaka struggled to control Saka, but that's a tough gig for anyone at the moment, Rashford did the same to White, hence being subbed at half time, on a yellow and Rashford was running him ragged. Your manager probably needed to do the same thing at the half.
To an extent, but I don't think that justifies the issue here: the stupid world cup timing (which should never happen again), and United losing two games due to the queen.
The subtle difference to this United squad compared to what it was at the start of the season shows how much they have progressed. Fair dues to Den Hag etc. It is coming together for the club.
Following a scissor challenge from Carol which he didn't get a card for, and VAR totally ignored... looks like Eriksen is out until April or even early May.
Actually a little disappointed not being able to get it across the line...
Casemiro and Eriksen sorely missed today.
Leeds might be near the bottom of the table but that does not lessen the enthusiasm of their supporters. At times it sounded like they were the home team

Leeds take 250,000 fans to every game!! (It's an "In" Joke on various FB pages about Leeds fans from some Leeds fans and others)
