it wasn't great, but a new day means new bets.  Today, I'm going for the following:

Celtic versus Rangers - Robbie Keane to score at anytime and Celtic to win (4)

Spuds vs Everton - Everton to win (3.80)

Man u vs Villa - Villa to win the CC (2.75)

Man u vs Villa - Darren Fletcher to get booked (3.50)

I tend to bet on what I would like to happen more than what I think will (apart from Keane scoring).

Bets for tomorrow are as follows:

Arsenal vs Burnley - more than 4.5 goals in the match (Arsenal will batter them, although always run the risk of conceeding from a set peice).  Odds are 3.25

West Ham vs Bolton - Dimante to score at anytime (he takes pens and free kicks, and is an all round genius).  Odds are 2.50

Wolves Vs Utd - Utd to win 2-0 (neither team conceed a massive amount, and Wolves don't score many).  Odds are 5.00

Everton vs Hull - Everton to win to nil (I think Hull have scored a total of 9 away goals since 1957).  Odds are 1.75

Chelsea vs Stoke - haven't got a clue.  This is like trying to predict what drunken thing Greene is going to do next, as anything could happen.  Probably go for a draw.  Odds are 5.50

Fulham vs Spurs - Zamora to score at anytime (in great form at the moment and capable of bullying anyone of the 15 injured centre backs partnerships Spurs could put out).  Odds are 2.75

Portsmouth vs Brum - Pompey to win (I have been tossing up between this and both teams to score, but I just cannot see Brum score after watching them live against West Ham a couple of weeks ago.  Pompey have realised that they cannot qualify for Europe via the league this season, so the cup is what they are playing for.  And if they win they might get paid).  Odds are 2.75

Reading vs Villa - more than 3.5 goals (Villa were pretty garbage against Palace in the first leg away from home but always look like scoring a few.  After losing the Rumbelows Cup, they will be fired up to get to Wembley again so will win this game.  Reading in a similar run of form as Palace were before that game and likely to get at least a goal or two).  Odds are 3.40

Updated with odds.

1 on each bet, plus a 0.10 on 28 doubles = 10.80 down.

Return will be posted at the end of the weekend.

Hmmm, not bad, but I reckon United will put more than two past Wolves at OT.

I know i'm a gooner but i think the Arsenal bet could be risky. We may batter Burnley but that doesn't mean we'll score a shedload. Hopefully we do and put 5 or 6 past them but you never know with us when it comes to actual putting the ball in the back of the net.

Three for me, and two for them.

The Arse bet isn't very good imo, especially with 3.25 odds. I'd want a bigger payout to take on that.

that is the risk of choosing the bets without seeing the odds.

The Arse bet is based on the fact that I can see them scoring a few, but can also see Burnley scoring at some stage (either a set peice, or someone being kept onside by Sol's arse).

The odds of 5.50 for a draw at stamford bridge surprises me.

I'd sooner take the $2.80 on them to progress rather then having to do it in normal time.

Still I try to bet with my head and not my heart. Arsenal2010-03-12 15:56:38

I got f**ked by them going to extra time last week, so not going to risk that again.

Got home late from work on Tuesday night, and was thinking that I was going to lump on the lanky twat to score against Porto, but missed the kick off and the bet isn't an option as an in-play.  c**t scores three (including about 2 minutes after I walk in the door)

Bendtner just saving my blushes.

Perennial strugglers Liverpool to beat Pompey @ $1.25.

If they don't win I will love it anyway. Imagine if Pompey could do the double over them!

I think if that happened Perennial strugglers Liverpool may as well pack it in now and put and end to the misery.

on another forum im on there si a betting comp like thing, you start with 10$ or whatever currency
and get another 10 each week
but you also get to keep your winnings and use them to
for example i put 5$ on Perennial strugglers Liverpool last night 1.28
and 5$ on athletico madrid at 1.80

so i would be up to $15.40

the rules are, just have to put the bet and the odds up
i or some1 else could update the nymbers each week to work out where everyone is?
anyone keen?

I know. Sure, Villa haven't put too many in the back of the net recently but this is Wigan we're talking about. All they have to show for their season is a defeat of Perennial strugglers Liverpool and even Pompey have that.

Just got there...

Had money on Chelsea to progress this morning ($1.70) and was very happy to lose it!

had money last night on Villa to beat Wigan, and there being more than 55 "card points" in the Chelsea vs Inter game (10 points for a booking, 15 for a sending off - was always going to happen).

To counter balance these bets, I had CSKA and Sevilla to draw and there being less than 10 corners in the Chelsea vs Inter game.  Not really sure even still why I put the corners bet on - I guess just to make sure I ended the night with exactly the same amount of money I started with.

Villa (Wolves) x Everton (Bolton) x Arsenal (West Ham) @ $2.60.

about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
This weekend is "the money weekend" in my house.

Arsenal vs West Ham - I hate betting on West Ham games, so I am going to go for a draw (6.00).  It will be a bit sh*t spending the last 10 minutes of the game hoping that Arsenal get two goals back to win me money, but what the hey.

Villa vs Wolves - I lost money on this game at the start of the season, when I picked Villa to win and it was a draw.  I won't make that mistake again - Villa to win (1.40).

Everton vs Bolton - both teams in pretty good form, but Everton to walk this.  Everton (-1) to win (2.37).

Pompey vs Hull - who gives a f**k?  Hull to win.  Or maybe pompey.  Pompey have lost 9 points putting them on -8 and 42 points from safety, so they will now focus on the FA Cup - trying not to get injured or suspended ahead of the game at Wembley.  Add the fact that Hull have a new manager to impress (who pockets 1 million if he keeps them up) I'm going with Hull to win (3.40).

Stoke vs Totts - this will be like watching tennis, with both teams having centre backs who love to smash to ball at centre forwards (don't get me started on this "Spurs play lovely football" malarky, especially when Crouch is in the team which he will be tomorrow).  Lots of huffing and puffing, with very little end product.  Less than 2.5 goals in the game (1.70).

Sunderland vs Brummies - it will be like a Milan Week catwalk with Steve Bruce and Mcleish strutting around their technical areas, such is the attractiveness of the two men.  Sunderland have picked up recently with 4 points last week, while Birmingham have started to look tired after playing the same 11 players for every games this season, while making them run marathons on their days off.  Sunderland to win (2.15).

Wigan vs Burnley - Burnley are sh*t.  Wigan are inconsistent.  Both teams are northern.  Wigan will win, but the bet is for there to be more than 55 discipline points (10 points per yellow card, 15 points per red).  Edit - bet not available, so going for Wigan @ 1.73

Blackburn vs Chelsea - Blackburn have good home form, but Chelsea will be smarting after being out battled in midweek by Inter.  Drogba only popped out of Lucio's pocket long enough to be sent off on Wednesday night, so expect him to batter a Nelsen-free Blackburn defence.  Drogba to score at anytime (1.61).

Fulham vs City - Fulham will be tired and a little emotionally drained after their fantastic result against Juve.  City will be fresh, and after battering Sunderland last week will score enough to take all three points.  City to win (2.30).

Utd vs Perennial strugglers Perennial strugglers Perennial strugglers Liverpool - I bet Vidic is sh*tting himself about this already.  Both teams to score, a draw, lots of bookings (and probably a sending off), Torres to score first, some fans to get thrown out for trying to unfurl a banner that says something unpleasent about their american owners, some pointless protests, Gerrard to be booked, a penalty - take your pick, it will all happen.  Watching impartially, I am going to be hoping for both teams to score (2.00).

Updated with odds.
