That was a mental match.
I don't think Carson should've been sent off though.
He had back-up.
Taylor did well with the penalty though.

True.

I thought it would have been an entertaining game after G.As goal followed by Rooneys but it didnt happen. 4-1 loss at home, first home loss of the season and rather costly with two red cards. Next game is Bolton away on my birthday so i hope its a good win for us.

Ive hrd here in Aus that its Burns but MON better sign some good players from Europe rather than players from lower leagues during the January window because he signed f**k all and let go a f**k lot of people.

Wouldn't touch Defoe tbh.

Yeah you lot don't want Defoe when Carew and Agbonlahor are doing the damage and you have Harewood as a squad player you don't need someone as incompetent as Defoe.

Three for me, and two for them.

This has been kept quiet...
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Read an article on Stan Colleymore. I found the clip he mentioned on you tube. Enjoy, the sound is a bit dodgy but the clip isn't. Awesome goal by Colleymore.

Reviving this for the new season.

Look like Villa will be aiming to top both the goals scored and goals conceeded tables this season...

First 7 minutes v Arsenal was back to the defensive malarky of last season, but work rate in the midfield was excellent.

Benteke/Weimann/Agbonlahor are gonna scare a lot of defences .... just hope they score more than we conceed.

3rd game in a week caught up with Villa vs Liverpool.... plus playing the first 35min as 4-4-2, oddly.

Still, like the way you never know what you're gonna get with Lambert.

Go Villa, good result. I said to a Villa fan last season that give this young squad 3 years and they will be definately top 7. I hope they can keep most of that squad together.

Awkward.

Watching the League Cup match replay on Sommet.
Clear penalty when Verts down-trou'd Helenius.  Also Paulinho's ugly goal was in stark contrast to his sublime one against Cardiff a few days ago.
Villa not getting the rub of the green in this match but Spurs outplaying them for the main part.  So much depth this season.

c'mon villa fans fire up...what a fantastic start to the season...too early to get carried away but really positive stuff.

Defense looks solid as, and the good news up front Benteke back soon.

Villa till I Die!!!

And a win at Anfield very satisfying

Panic at Molineux now after going from running away with the league up until very recently to Cardiff and Villa having now caught them up

Funny as. After beating Wolves the other day the Villa players did a lap of honour(!!) as if they had already won the league.

Villa fans were giving wolves fans bollocks

Since then they have lost two in a row and have dropped down to 4th in the league while wolves have powered on with two wins on the trot to maintain their place at the top

Now its wolves turn to laugh at villa!

Villa are currently fighting off administration. Put all their eggs in one basket to obtain  promotion but came up short and now have serious cash flow problems.
