You do wonder if he's now past it though. Sure he's been great in the past, but he is 37 and I think it's fair to say his best years are well and truly behind him.

How long do you keep starting him?

But who would Arsenal turn to if they gave Lehmann the boot?

I think we still have Almunia come to think of it, he's really good. As long as we don't give the number 1 jersey to Mart Poom I'll be happy.

what are you on about.. mart poom went to watford.. and we should play Lukasz Fabianski im sure you guys have seen how good he is or not come to think of that comment =P
He's the bravest keeper we have by the way, way braver than lehmann or almunia.
His Skills: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEIdZORCJ9c

And to the comment three above, Da Silva played very good in the end, not as good as he could have but i was impressed at what he can be for us this season, he nearly got a 6 yard tap in but that fell off the defender and then from cesc to another defender to van persie who scored, eduardo had another shot which was off target but after a little while in the first half he started to get use to where he was playing, like i say its just a matter of him adapting, i felt when he was subbed off we lost the games momentum which led to blackburn crawling all over us.

Mate Lehmann has to be dropped after this latest blunder i mean if any outfielder made the same mistake he'd be gone no reason why a keeper should be spared. Fabianski was brought in as Lehamann's replacement and i think he deserves a few games to show what he's made of.

Three for me, and two for them.

Its more likely that if they dropped Lehmann, Almunia would start with Lehman on the bench and Fabianski would start League and FA cup games. UberGunner2007-08-20 19:54:32

Yeah I can't see Fabianski starting the big games yet. Almunia seems to have improved a bit?

he sure has, so im sure almunia will be playing few games soon.. i would rather see fabianski play against manchester city this weekend though.. i prefur his saves and bravery over both almunia and lehmann.

im not a big fan of almunia but he's next in line i guess. this weeks game against man city shud be a cracker. i wouldnt have minded if gunners had signed man citys ELANO, he seems to be a great buy so far

Anyone know if Sky are going to show Arsenal's game against Manchester City? And I'd prefer Almunia starting in goal as opposed to Lehmann, I feel Lehmann has to win Wenger's confidence back after a second blunder in a short space of time.

no they arn't, still waiting on a reply from them about them shifting it from live and maybe sticking another live one in but i highly highly doubt it.

This was going to be the first Gooner's EPL match I could watch live this season so far.

Damn you Sky.

I might try and p2p stream but I've heard that such streams are being suspiciously shut down a few minutes prior to kickoff.

Do you use the links from myp2p.eu? I heard that quite a few of the different streams were getting shut down (perhaps it was just in Britain though?).

Cheers mate. I take it that links to stream live only appear on gameday on that blogspot site?

Sky are pathetic, I bet if we still had Henry they'd show more of our games.

Sky buy there coverage from sky uk, if sky uk dont show the game, then we dont see the game its quite simple. Follow this link to see what games you can expect to see this season.

For the sake of argument i havent included ESPN coverage because not even Sky can predict what they weill get as they buy the channel intact and have no control over content.

Yeah he looked fine vs England, i think this is an excuse to bench him for a while like we did a couple of seasons ago. To be fair though, when he came back from that he was great. Hopefully this break will do him some good. I still think a fit and on form Lehmann  is our best goalie.

Oh Dear.......Oh Dear........

I'm shedding a tear for all you Arsenal fans at Lehmann's first two performances in the EPL

Even though I still despise you lot

You need a new goalie.....please.....please......anyway Lehmanns getting too old....even if this is a "form dip"......you'll need a new goalie soon....

Arsenal 1-0 City

Nice goal from cesc on the angle.. bad game really though.. van persie couldnt score, getting his penalty saved dubiously, Sagna injured within 10 minutes, adebayor missing every oportunity he had.. goes on. Good game from denilson though when he came on. Almunia had nearly nothing to do all game.

The online sky guide says the game is only on ESPN (tennis is on SS1). I would head along but I've got to be at the other end of town by 8.45am. So I'll be streaming the match at home.
