I don't know how he didn't get sent off, that's just ridiculous and because of it Tottenham lost.

I tend tyo think the Match review Panel (or whatever the FA Version is)  will have more to say on that and I can see him getting quite a number of weeks

wow that looks fairly intentional. i too would expect to see him banned for some time.

Sneaky fouls and winding up the opposition is something they teach in Italian academies.  Suggesting that Balotelli won a game that way is very high praise.

Should be a couple of months for a pretty clear head stomp.

There was nothing in it for me.  I was more outraged by Rooney's dive against Arsenal, but no one seems to have commented on that.  It is almost like there is a different attitude when England players do something wrong......

Poor form from the man, must've hurt so much to have him then go on to score such a late winner!

If he does get a lengthy ban, is there any chance Adebayor could get pulled back?

Surely you're taking the piss? It was a pretty obvious stamp out at his head.

I haven't seen the Rooney dive so will have to wait before i comment on that.

Yeah the Rooney dive was a shocker.

Three for me, and two for them.

He's got a history of it against us. I confess I have not seen a replay of it though and every vid of it I can find has been removed.

"In Italian culture, stomping on someone's head is a friendly gesture, much akin to the act of gifting French pasta. Scoring from a penalty 10 mins later means that we should be BFF."

Scott Parker needs to harden the f**k up. He's an English defensive midfielder, he should be able to take a stomping to the head no problem. This isn't La Liga

He's ex-hammers.  That was really just a training run knock.

I don't actually think there was anything in it either. He was falling.

Allegedly

The 1st stomp was accidental but the 2nd one was clearly intentional.

While he was practically horizontal? Thats pretty clever and quick thinking for Balotelli isn't it?

Allegedly

I'm inclined to agree. The slo-mo replays made it look worse but at real speed he just seemed to be stumbling. And he apologised afterwards too. What a gent!

The fall is unnatural

A shame he did this, not really surprised with some of the other crap he has done on field before.Azevo2012-01-24 18:02:09

On the contrary - an accidental stamp on Scott Parker's halo is quite amusing.

I'm sure Mancini won't be amused when he gets a 4 game ban.

Actually he probably will be, because a 4 match ban is getting off very lightly.

Three for me, and two for them.

I'm sure you heard the cheer emanating from Holloway Road pubs when it happened.

Not me though, of course.

Is it really any worse than something like this?

Now that is in no way the worst tackle I have ever seen (I actually only saw it when I was looking for another picture on my work machine - it was saved to assist in an argument with a Liverpool fan (James Dean) who said that Spearing should have not been sent off against Fulham).  It just seems that Super Mario will be absolutely slaughtered for this, despite it being possibily accidental (not just my view) and no worse than a number of challenges that happen all the time (including Lescott against Kabol in the same game).

A 3 match ban is possibly about right, but can't the world let it go after that happens (although he may get 4 games because of being - incorrectly - sent off against Liverpool)?

Also, while I am on the subject, people like Souness having the audacity to slag him off is ridiculous.  The game was different in the 80's but he is a player with a history of going out to hurt others.

I think its alot worse than that, diving in for the ball recklessly is one thing, trying to stomp on someones head is a whole lot worse, imo anyway.

A medal, a shiny gold medal is what he should of got. And a new ATV, one which he can bling up, gold rims, spinners, neons and alike.
