Plastic fans? Liverpool? Ok then...

So fans who stick around, even when a club hasn't had any significant recent success since the mid 2000's are plastic?

I'm not sure you really know what the term means.

Man City get Claudio Bravo from Barcelona. They've finally got a good keeper Pep wanted. Should help them with their already great squad get 1st/2nd.

still a weak back line with Kompany constantly injured. Wait until they play a team which has a bit of a go at them... even for about 10minutes in the first leg against Steaua they looked uncomfortable under pressure. A better team might have kept that pressure on or capitalised on it

United and City will be a great battle to watch this season. Liverpool will score a few against them (but probably concede more as it stands).

Liverpool will beat the big boys then lose to WBA, Sunderland etc... it's started already ;)

I'd argue...but I can't. Did the Chinese investors get here yet?

reports that super mario is being shopped around to both United and Palace. He has a history with Mou so that might work. not sure his ego would work with pardew though. either way the guy needs to pull his shark together and get playing again

D-day is coming! Here are the lastest rumours I've seen...

  • Wilshere to go out on loan
  • Sunderland's attempt to loan Ings turned down by LFC
  • Chelsea offer for Brozovic from Inter accepted but personal terms not discussed yet
  • Joe Hart released from England training camp to discuss a loan move to Torino
  • Mario likely to move to France before the window closes
  • Liverpool have had an offer for Ante Coric turned down

Why would any team want Wilshere? What's the point of loaning out a player who'll make 5 appearances, have 1 good performance, and be injured for the other 32 matches?

I think a few teams would be willing to give him a go. But I guess if no one does, then you would be correct. We'll find out in the next couple of days.

Depends on whether Arsenal will keep paying his wages while he's on loan

Rumours that Juventus have emerged as the favourite to take him.

Hope they take him. And keep him.

Three for me, and two for them.

Sorry but not gonna happen. Juventus have much better midfielders than that.

No need to apologise. I'm just reporting what I read - they are the bookies' favourite to take him as it stands.

Perez and Mustafi done. Chambers off to Boro.

Good business all round.

Three for me, and two for them.

Apparently had 22 loan offers, Roma, Valencia and a number of EPL clubs among them. Has chosen Crystal Palace according to reports. Guess he wants to stay in London, and get starts.

Really hope he can stay fit this season, will be interesting to see what he's capable of if he does.

He hasn't had a fully fit season since he was 18 years old.

And Palace have picked up Remy on loan. Good bit of business there.

Hart to Torino. Apparently for him it was a no brainer. But I think it's left a lot of people scratching their heads.

Jack "Diaby" Wilshere to Bournemouth is hilarious. Such an overrated player. He'll play 10 games maximum before he gets injured.

there is a shark ton of movement going on, but this is what i have found:

- super Mario is off to France, which is Nice. free transfer

- David Luiz back to Chel$ea

- Islam Slimani has moved from sporting to the Foxes, i think that is a good bit of work as he looks pretty handy

- Hull seem to sign a player every 5mins. Which gives them a squad of 16 at last count. and it looks like they will try to use up all loan placements allowed (is it still 8? or is that just for the championship?)

- Newcastle and Toffees have agreed on 30mil for Sissoko, but hes being a cod and wanting to move to Sp*rs

- West Ham have signed Real Madrids Alvaro Arbeloa

craziest story i have found is that Sturridge is leaving pool and coming to the Gunners.

wow, or that Victor Anichebe is reportedly under going medical at the Emirates, but no sauce for that one.

Far and away England's best #10. Any Three Lions fan with even a basic grasp of football wants a match fit Jack W.

Has Dele Alli superseded him now at #10? Wilshere more an option alongside someone like Dier for England?

Boring transfer day as an LFC fan. All outgoing (Mario and then Wisdom and Markovic on loan). Did decent business early on but baffled at the lack of LB. The clean-out has been significant, the largest ever I believe.

Points of interest for the LFC fan:

  • Is Milner the new #1 LB or does Klopp believe he can turn around Moreno's fortunes with some work?
  • Lucas stays, will we see him in the DM role more often? i still think we're a much better side defensively with him in there.
  • Sakho was told if he stayed at LFC, he would get no game time this season but turned down multiple loan opportunities in England and overseas - interesting decision.
  • Some will bemoan the lack of a keeper but Karius is just a few weeks away from being back and early indications are that he is our new #1. There are worse #2 keepers than Mingolet.

That's the thing about Wilshere. He can actually peform either of the roles competently.

Yes, but at #10 Ali is the better performer.

Alli started there at the last major tournament and that didn't go well for him.

Time on his side though.

big bit of news that. not that is surpising, he has never settled there. But chelsea now have a transfer ban, best player and one of the worlds best coaches have left. could be troubling times a head.

Any word on the next manager? are they going Manu style with someone from the 'glory' days? Lampard is at derby isnt he?
