£40m budget.

Europa league.

Fudge it let's break the bank and sign the boy wonder from ligue un.

Still need to sort out LB and CB but if the new plan is winning games 6-5 I'm in.

Signing that. Wish United could close out a ruddy transfer with this efficiency.

Now here's one I didn't see coming. Wayne Rooney in talks to take on a Player-Coach role at Derby County. Looks like this one might actually have legs - apparently he's flying in to the UK to continue talks (sauce). Derby have done very well to keep this quiet until this late stage. I'm very surprised at this whole potential deal. Still 2 years to run on his DC contract and he was the spark that completely turned their season around last year. Perhaps the lure of getting his young family back to the UK was a factor.

Well being Derby coach certainly worked out for Lampard. He didn't even earn them promotion but still got the Chelsea job.

Officially announced now. Difference of course was that Lampard was Derby manager whereas sounds like Rooney will mainly be helping out in a coaching capacity with the older Academy boys. Bit of a coup for Derby to get his playing services too.
