When you look at it in that context, there are no more massive games for any of the sides, just scrappy affairs against relegation battlers. St James away is always tough, that's the nervy one for me. Stoke are always difficult though.

we need to win both games or hope that Spurs lose at least one. Essen tially these "dead rubbers" become all important for two teams battling for 4th spot. (again)

Sp*rs will win their next two games, which means we simply have to win ours.

Chelsea will bag third as they will defeat Everton for sure. Still I am liking the odds on Aston Villa taking something off them this weekend and have taken positions accordingly.

If only United had beaten Chelsea like a motivated United would have, we'd still be third.

I did actually consider taking out £100 or so happiness insurance on a sp*rs top four finish @ 2/1 but will just ride it out. I think they are good value at that though I'm not going to lie.

If we beat Wigan and Newcastle get a point at QPR this weekend then they're safe, hopefully that would take the sting out of St James on the last day.

I'm happy to be proven wrong but simply can't see how Stoke could possibly be anywhere near as motivated as sp*rs this weekend.

Yeah, I could defo see Chelsea dropping points somewhere in those next couple of games to be honest.

well chelsea and spurs both getting wins was annoying, Wigan FA cup champions who would have thought aye. Pretty darn nervous about Wednesdays game at the moment

Just a bit of transfer rumour/wishlist: Sascha Reither has really stood out as a solid right back defensively and awesome on attack.

It got me thinking about Sagna if rumours are true he is considering PSG, if there is any truth to that one then Reither could be a good replacement as he has done very well on loan at Fulham from Koln.

Wenger got Cazorla from Malaga and returned for Monreal maybe after getting Podolski from Koln he will strike up a deal for Reither too

At 30 years old could slot in well to compete with Jenkinson.....

Sounds ok (having not seen him play... lol). Some pischek (spelling?) of dortmund rumours around too.

By all reports bellerin has had a very good season for reserves/U21s. Classic arsene would promote him as understudy/competition to jenkinson and let sagna go.

Personally I'd prefer sagna to be re-signed with jenkinson starting to play a bigger role next season, perhaps both left and right fullback spots can be rotated all year with the four quality players we have. Our game plan relies on them running a sh*tload and all of ours (except monreal - yet) have been injury-prone recently.

Should have clarified my first preference is Sagna signs on again as he still has a lot to offer and just turned 30?

If he decides he needs to leave as I can see Arsene wanting him to stay then Reither could be a good option, somehow I think Lukas Pizchak or whatever his name is will have to many other clubs interested in him as he is 27 and coming into his prime.

Dortmund are better of in the CL than us and will demand a high transfer fee, cannot see that one eventuating if Sagna were to go.

For the neutrals this 4th and 5th spots will be exciting to see unfold, Chelsea have wrapped up 3rd as even if Totts win they have a superior goal difference.

It will be nerve wracking right up to the list minute of our Wigan and Newcastle games, thank goodness Newcastle are safe now...

Mental stuff.
Hoping Wigan's FA Cup win leaves them tired for tomorrow, I'd hazard a guess we'll see:
Cazorla    Podolski    Walcott
              Wilshere
   Ramsey        Arteta
Gibbs   Kosc   Mert   Sagna
                 Szy

Areas of contention for me Wilshere/Rosicky, Gibbs/Monreal, Szy/Fab

on current form i'd say rosicky would start.....a rusty Jacky boy wouldnt be worth the gamble......hopefully poli does something up front unlike the last 2 games

Sky guide has ManU v WBA and Chelsea v Everton as the two live games (live cricket on two other channels)

Arsenal/Newcastle delayed 6am on SS4. Think I'll sleep through and watch that in isolation then.

Although it will be day 4 of the black caps test v england so we could be beat by then, thus giving Sky some space to show a third game.

think you're right by the sound of this;
Wilshere likely won't start tomorrow or the newcastle game. That's ok, rosicky has been great lately, and i love his defensive pressure high up the pitch

so nervous about this

Going to the game tonight, can't wait. My one game so far has been the 7-3 win over Newcastle so here's hoping my luck continues.

Yessssss 3 goals in 8 minutes, up 4-1 now and cruising home, so so so happy

Cazorla with 4 assists!

Poldi a double, Theo with one, and Ramsey with an amazing finish, or so I'm told by arseblog live text

We were rubbish in the first half. Left home at 1-1 and depressed. Got to work and it was 3-1. Got to see Ramseys goal. I think the FA Cup hangover finally got to Wigan. Still not over yet. Newcastle away won't be easy.

Only have to match Spurs result now.

Three for me, and two for them.

From looking at Sky, NRL replays, live IPL, Super Rugby replays, and live test match cricket all take precedence over showing football. Only 2 games live, then 1 game delayed at a time for the rest of the morning. Pathetic.

Also, getting ahead of me-self here, but if we beat Newcastle by 2 and chelsea draw with everton then we'd nab 3rd. That is possible given chelsea play the europa final tomorrow, hazard is injured, and it'll be moyes' everton send-off. If Chelsea lose then any win would do.

It could've been worse. The V8 Supercars are in Texas this weekend, their qualifying would've fallen in the live Prem slot as well, and could've seen only 1 live game. I can understand the Live Test Cricket, Meh on the IPL (Can understand though), but two live games is better than none. Sucks that only 1 game at a time delayed though for replays of other sport.

Haha. At this stage i think i'd be content with us sewing up 4th ahead of Tottenham. 3rd would be a bonus!

We have the 2nd best defensive record in the league. Who would have predicted that earlier in the season.

Would have had the best if Kons and Peter were put together earlier :)

So this. Read somewhere that we're unbeaten in 17 games when those two have started together.

Not that I want this to happen but this would be funny. We lose at Newcastle and Spurs draw with Sunderland. We get fourth on goal difference :)
