Cheques and Phalluses even...
Sorry. Closest I could get to checks and balances. Limited time frame and good scotch can impede a man so...
How old is Leggy? Is he 12 or 72?

Although nothing remotely close to an actual source or statement or quote was provided, I have read an article about a January move for Pato. I wouldn't think that too bad of an idea. He seems to be over his injuries (available for most games for a year now), is only 24, and provides a decent alternative to Giroud from the bench. Wenger could reignite his career maybe? I would think he would be fairly cheap, and available for UCL.
Plenty of talk overnight that we're signing Morata from Real on a loan deal for the rest of the season. Not sure what to make of that - to be fair I've never seen him play but he is getting big wraps over there
Perhaps our fall-back if we don't sign anyone properly?

Currently Aberlour, with a view to getting Abunadh for Xmas. Very nearly went for a 47 yo for around the $500 mark but got talked down by management. Any favourites for you sir?

Sagna out with a hammy injury, hopefully not too serious. Jenkinson to step in. Wenger also hinting at rotating (unsurprisingly) tomorrow...
I'd like some rotation, with an eye on the games we have coming up
Szczesny
Jenkinson Koscielny Vermaelen Monreal
Ramsey Flamini
Wilshere Cazorla Rosicky
Walcott
Sure it won't happen, but Ozil and Giroud getting a rest would be nice - Arteta could give Ramsey a rest.
Just came across this Arsenal supporters NZ unofficial Facebook which is a good local effort with regularly updated news & opinions:

Wow, What a good thing to find this threads going on in here, Glad to see Fellow gunners from New Zealand being active in support!!! Thanks pete for showing me this!! Like our facebook page also if u keen, and on the side note, How do u think we will do against Hull tomoro morning especially if some of our top players get rested such as Giroud Ozil Ramsey. I am scared at the thought of Bendtner starting...... oh and about rumors of Pato signing, I think yes u r right wenger would probably be the man to rescue his carrer, i used to want him in Arsenal a while ago when he was 19. the difference with him and giroud will be on holding the ball up front but he is more versatile in making runs and dribbling past defense with lightning speed which could work well with the likes of Walcott, and he causes defenders to commit a lot of fouls on him which I worry a bit, Arsenal like flowing football and are not exactly best at set peaces except when it comes to defending them(even that we are still shaky a bit), anyway, resting players ......how will we do? if there is any games to rest players on I think this is the one!!!
Rotation in full swing this morn... team named;
Szczesny
Jenkinson-Mertesacker-Koscielny-Monreal
Flamini-Ramsey
Rosicky-Ozil-Cazorla
Bendtner
Bench: Fabianski, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Walcott, Giroud
Surprised Bendtner gets the start, this is his big chance... cripes our team looks pretty strong with a bench like that
Hull: Mcgregor, Figueroa, Elmohamady, Chester, Bruce, Meyler, Huddlestone, Livermore, Brady, Graham, Sagbo
I'm not surprised he's started him. No need to rush Theo back, and Giroud needs a break. Given the 5 players behind him can all score goals I'm confident we can do OK without Bendtner firing...
Not confident with Bendtner starting. I watched the Capital One Cup game against Chelsea and he just had no urgency to his game. Unlike Giroud. Any goals are likely to come from Ramsey, Ozil or Cazorla
Yum, my plate of humble pie is tasting sweet this morning
It's a great humble pie too, check out the goal here:

Also worth seeing Suarez's insane long distance dipping volley against Norwich.

Gooner On The Road is coming to New Zealand as part of his fundraising effort for the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation. He is wanting to wanting to meet up with Gooners around NZ to watch some games with whilst he is here.

When I made the decision to go backpacking for a year, my excitement quickly turned into fear - that one fear that every hardcore football fan thinks when they're about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime - WHERE AM I GOING TO WATCH MY BELOVED ARSENAL?!
At last count (and how do they actually count?) there are 27 million Arsenal fans in the world - obviously the majority of those fans don't live in the UK - as that would equate to about half the population of the country. So, where are they?!
My goal is to watch every Arsenal match of the 2013-14 season with another Gooner, regardless of where I am in the World. That way, I get to travel, and I also get to watch the greatest team the world has ever seen.
The Gooner On The Road expedition will start at the Blind Pig in New York City - home to one of the world's most hospitable Arsenal Supporters Club. From there, I will be soaking in the sights and sounds of some of North America's hot-spots, before heading across the Pacific to Australia, ending the few remaining months of the Premier League season in South-East Asia.
At least that's the plan anyway.
On a more serious note, I am doing all this for a good cause. My mother passed away in February 2013. She suffered from Triple Negative Breast Cancer, the rarest and most ruthless form of Breast Cancer around. I will be asking for fellow Gooners to donate to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation - there's 27 million Arsenal fans worldwide so I'm confident that with a little bit of exposure, we can really make a difference.
I have made it my personal goal (aside from the stupid crazy one mentioned above) to raise £10,000 for the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation. I am depending on Twitter followers (@GoonerOnTheRoad) and blog readers (www.goonerontheroad.com) to donate whatever they can to this foundation so that we can raise awareness, increase funding and provide a better quality-of-life to sufferers of this disease.
See you on the Road!

So so good. Is their gap for 4th this year bigger than ours was last year?
no idea and even less interest Brumbys. Can't see 4th place being our concern this season which may sound overly optimistic but if we can stay fit it could be an exciting run in.
We have 12 points on the Chq Book Champions and we need to get that to 15-18 before the end of the Jan transfer window. Even with their staggering record of spend to win I reckon it'll be all on early '14 for their accounts department.
MCFC are the real problem. Great coach , 4-5 of the best players in the EPL , enormous squad depth.
Happy with 5 points from next 3 games as long as we beat Everton.
E's Flat Ah's Flat Too
Oh I'm not thinking we'll end up in 4th, just be interesting to know if they've got as far behind as we got before we staged the 'great escape' last season.
Just watched the extended highlights on Arsenal player, so bloody good. Damn they played well, I'm staggered it wasn't more.
Fortunately for Hull we were a little off in front of goal, but I am getting absolutely hard watching Rambo's passing, unreal stuff for both Jenkinsons cross and Ozil's goal.
