Yeah a united result would take the pressure off a bit.

I didn't think we looked great today, but then BOOM we hit another gear and put away a couple of goals. Sometimes we lack drive and energy in that midfield, and Ozil isn't the man to bring it. I'd like to see Cazorla reclaim the role in the hole for a match or two to see if that can spark the drive again. 16 games left in the season, here's to going hard.

Never expected united to get anything at Chelsea anyway, they're too rubbish.

Lol at wrecking ball btw.

The mrs is in London currently and sat down at dinner next to a sp*rs fan. She asked to change places, before berating him for supporting sp*rs as she's a gooner. Keeper much?

sigh, Wal-Mart and now this

Yet ticket prices keep going up. More clubs need to be in touch with the fans like Bayern (they are subsidizing tickets to the game at the Emirates while they laugh at how high our prices are)

Thanks to TV a Saturday morning Cup game this weekend, hoping Santi plays behind the striker and give Ozil the night off

Yeah I'd hope for a decent pack shuffle, although you never know:

                           Fabianski

Jenkinson Koscielny  Vermaelen   Gibbs

                 Rosicky     Flamini

Gnabry               Wilshere                 Oxlaide-Chamberlain

                       Podolski

Would like to see Bendtner/Frimpong/Zelalem get a run too.

Yeah, in a 2-4 loss against the Liverpool reserves apparently Frimpong was the liveliest player - would be keen to see him get some game time also. Zelalem and Oxlade both played a part too, as did Jenkinson. All to start I'd say. If Gnabry is also included, perhaps we could see Oxlade more centrally. Did you all read the article where Wenger states he thinks he will be more of a deep lying central midfielder?

In other news, Liam Brady has seemingly been replaced by Andries Jonker. Hopefully he carries on the excellent work of Brady.

[quote]

Arsenal have appointed former Barcelona assistant coach Andries Jonker as head of their academy. The Dutchman, 51, is currently assistant manager at German side Wolfsburg and will succeed Liam Brady as academy head on 1 July. He has also worked for the Dutch Football Association, the KNVB. "Andries helped develop the structures which are now producing such strong young players in Holland," said Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. After working as technical director for the KNVB, Jonker worked under Louis van Gaal at Barcelona and Bayern Munich where he later had a spell as interim head coach. "I am very pleased that Andries is joining us," added Wenger, 64. "He has a big reputation in the game. I would also like to thank Liam for his work which has been outstanding over many years."

I really don't know what has happened up there, and after a failed attempt at editing my post, I give up. I have quoted brumbys post above my own and the bottom section is quoted from the link I provided. Lol

Also just had a quick look on Sky and it doesn't seem like ESPN are showing our FA Cup game Saturday morning, just fishing, X Games replay, and sports centre before NBA in the afternoon. PLP won't have it will they?

You might have to stream it. Doubt PLP will have it.

Santi got photographed along with Pires, with a Arsenal fan who held up a piece of paper berating sp*rs. Link here.

By the way, Arsenal fans always look that good eh? ;)

As much as I'd love it... how good would it be if they came to Eden Park to play the Nix and played a game across the ditch. I'd have kittens!!!

Really can't see it though - can recall talk last year that they were going back to Asia and the US this year before the usual home "tournament".

But jeez... just to dream about it...

Difficult question as I have every Arsenal home shirt since 1989 plus a few away shirts. Maybe my blue away shirt from 2004? with Gooner 4 Life printed on the back :)

Nope, it's a tactical admission of smart business by JM

And even with Mata MUFC are at best unlikely to derail Arsenal from a top-4 finish. For the first time in a while MUFC play next to no part in how Arsenal's season will be judged.

We don't deserve to derail you this season and we won't    We have however finished above you every year since 05/06.

Happy with that. Good to see Podolski scoring and Zelalem and the Ox getting a run. Can't believe Ozil missed that goal at the end!

Man we put out a strong side. Good showing from all. Could of had a few more tho. Ozil guilty of spraying one at the end there.

Went to the game this evening - Gibbs played well, Jenkinson played ok (for someone who tries really hard but is basically a very limited player), Ozil did some wonderful things and then drifted out of the game until he could be bothered again and Bentner was wonderful comedy.  A fat Coventry fan ran on the pitch for a bit which was nice.

Weird moment of the night was on 31 minutes when the Coventry fans did their protest (about having to play their home games 31 miles away in Northampton).  They all held up cards, which was all nice and meaningful. While it was happening, all the Arsenal fans clapped to show support, which was nice.  Then it finished, and all the Coventry fans clapped the Arsenal fans for supporting them. Then all the Arsenal fans clapped the Coventry fans for thanking for thanking them. Finally (about the 42nd minute) the massive love-in finished and all the fans went back to calling each other cods.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

A few reports seem a bit negative towards how we played but I've got to say that, 4-0 without trying particularly hard for long periods of the game is just fine with me.

Also, it seems as though Draxler will almost certainly come to Arsenal...just a question of whether it is in January or (more likely) in the summer...

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/10596260/Julian-Draxler-aims-to-seal-36m-move-to-Arsenal.html

Interesting that his fee is almost the same as that of Mata. Who would you prefer? Mata is obviously PL proven but does have five years on Draxler and I quite like the idea of building a strong German contingent at the Arsenal (it could be more than half the team if Per, Pod, Draxler, Gnabry, Özil and Zelalem were all on the pitch).

Not that Mourinho would have sold to a direct rival anyway.
