AW talking about starting chambers at DM. I thought we had tried this before and it didn't end well for us. But giving our options I don't know who else would be better... Maybe flamini but he has his own drawbacks.

So for the game tomorrow I'm guessing:

        Giroud

Campbell Ozil Alexis

     Ramsey Santi

Monreal Per Kosc Bellerin

          Cech

Can't afford not to go for the win.

With the Dinamo player suspended due to drug test fail surely we should be awarded that match?

Agreed. Can't understand how you take doping seriously if a player involved in a win or the drawing of a match doesn't have the result given as a win to the other team.

Rules state you need more than 1 of the randomly selected players testing positive before you can penalise the team.

Is Rambo back? Didn't think he was playing until the weekend. Good news if he is though.

Arsenal starting XI: Cech; Bellerin, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal; Flamini, Cazorla; Campbell, Ozil, Alexis, Giroud.

Substitutes: Ospina, Debuchy, Gabriel, Gibbs, Chambers, Ramsey, Reine-Adelaide.

looks like Flamini gets the nod. probably the safest choice. COYG!

Lovely ball from Campbell for the 3rd goal btw, I half missed it and when I was waiting for the replay I said to a colleague "not sure who made that pass but it was awesome, can only have been Ozil or Cazorla". Very surprised to see it was Campbell, good man.

Isn't Sanchez supposed to have an injury and be burnt out? The guy is nuts. Never seen a player like him in terms of physicality - perhaps only Ronaldo is comparable.

Some interesting comments from Wenger in the post-match;

"I think Mesut Ozil had an outstanding first half, he has got the taste for scoring now. I have never seen Ozil in the box so many times as in the last five or six games."

Noticed this. Wenger challenged him to get goals and he's been working like an animal to get them. Long may it continue.

When asked why Sanchez was not substituted, Wenger said: "Because a break makes him tired.

"I would have loved to have done it in this game, but when you're 3-0 ahead you're not in a position where you need him to work back.

"We put him central up front where he could spare some energy. It's not like the flank where he has to go up and down. I tried to compromise a little bit, rest him a little bit.

"Olivier Giroud had a little problem on his ankle over the weekend so I decided to give him a little breather."

So breaks make him tired, hahahahaha I love that. Sanchez is such a beast it's just ridiculous.

I think the Ronaldo comparison in terms of his strength and fitness is a good one.

Does anyone else find themselves using the 'this' button in the same way they would use a 'like' button?

Back to business I'm feeling good about 2-0 away in Greece. Chucked a cheeky punt on the boys to qualify at $4.50 last night, could be a goer!

Ha, you've pretty much copy and pasted my email to you from this morning!

As a pseudo-pedant I'd almost hit ye with a plagiarism charge.  But I'm also very lazy and have a terrible case of the squits just now.

According to the herald a 3-2 win would still see us through as the head to head formula used by UEFA would work in our favour.

Yep, a 3-2 win would cancel out their 3-2 win at the Emirates so it then comes down to overall goal difference. Ours is currently -1 and theirs is -4.

Pato rumours circulating, would you take him in January? Obviously we need another midfielder but could be worth the long term punt if the timing was right.

Just caught the highlights, what the f*ck was the defender playing at pushing Sanchez into the TV bunker? Regardless of which team you play for & who you're playing against, that is filthy off the ball stuff that can do serious damage.

Cazorla injured as well??? Didn't even know that.

3 big injuries today.

That is extreme even for us.

Ramini axis at Olympiakos?

Ox will now need to start, I guess Campbell on the other side for a lack of other options.

And when Walcott comes back (should be very soon) we will need him on the flank I think, and leave Giroud to handle the striking role for now.

On that note, Giroud was absolute pants this morning, I hope Wenger gave him a kick up the backside after that crap, didn't even look like he wanted to be there. So many times I saw a loose ball and Giroud caught on his heels. I feel a lot of the flack he gets is unfair but he does himself no favours with a performance like that.

We appear incapable of maintaing form in multiple competitions. We're pants in the champions league but on fire in the prem, we get some momentum back in the champions league then bottle it in the prem.

However, chaps, we're only two points off first heading into a busy but relatively manageable December.

Reinforcements needed in January BADLY.

Olympiakos (a) 9th Dec

Villa (a) 13th Dec (20th)

City (h) 21st Dec (1)

Southampton (a) 26th Dec (10th)

Bournemouth (h) 28th Dec (18th)

Newcastle (h) 2nd Jan (19th)

FA Cup TBC 9th Jan

Liverpool (a) 13th Jan (6th)

Available best 11:

               Giroud

Walcott     Ozil      Ox

      Ramsey Flamini

Monreal Gabriel Per Bellerin

                 Cech

Bench: Ospina, Gibbs, Chambers, Debuchy, The Jeff, Campbell, Iwobi*

*insert other academy lad here because we're out of first teamers!

Trying to stop FFS. Reminded me of Arnautovic on Debuchy last season. I suppose "he's not that sort of player."
