My colleague pointed out that Bennett takes the "little steps" there as if he is trying to stop, I can see what he means, but I still think it's unnecessary to put his hands up and push him like that. He just didn't need to, they were miles over the sideline by that point.

Meh, it happens. I doubt he thought 'hmm, I see a camera pit there, lets wait until Sanchez is by the sideline and push him in'

Yea regardless of whether he intended the push or not, I don't think he knew there was a camera hole there, so will give him the benefit of the doubt on that one...

Hmmm his hands go up in a little push, more like stopping himself than stopping Sanchez. Just grab the bloke & pull him back.

If we don't beat a dreadful Sunderland at home next week then just sack everyone.

Thank fudge that hideous November is over too. 1 win in 5 in that horrid 30 days.

Three for me, and two for them.

Well this is probably my new favourite website:

https://www.arsenalreport.com/injuryroom

Aside from relatively up to date info on players being out, it also has stats comparing injuries last season to this season on the same time period, we've actually done a lot better this year.

Just a thought; do we bring back Gnabry & Zelalem to provide some midfield/width options? Who could be this seasons Coquellin/Bellerin...

Squad is big.
We'll survive.

We have enough fit players to win the games in front of us, Wenger's just gotta get these new combinations gelling asap. I hope Ozil is threading ball after ball through for Campbell and the Ox in training.

The prospect of the two of him in front of him, plus a hit man to lay off with is exciting. Throw in Rambo's late run's & long pop's and I'm still hopeful of delivering results.

Cazorla out for at least 3 months. Safe to say that's pretty much his season done. Wenger said he hurt his knee in the first half the other day, worked out well keeping him on for 90 didn't it? Every single risk he took with the squad this season has backfired.

Really Santi for 3 months?? Oh ffs. I've been loving him this year. What a pain in the arse. Buy some one in? If so, who?

Some of these facts are hard to comprehend if I'm honest!

https://www.espn.co.uk/soccer/barclays-premier-leag...

"Injuries during the 2015-16 season in the Premier League show Arsenal to be seventh in the division with 24, which is only slightly above the league average (20.5), while their total is well behind the likes of Man City (35), Man United (31) and even Liverpool (25) who are also in the race for the top spot.

Out of those 24 injuries, only 11 have lasted 10 or more days, which represents less than half of their total (46 percent.) Again, this falls well below their Premier League rivals -- Man City on 20 (57 percent), Tottenham 16 (72 percent) and Liverpool 18 (76 percent). In fact only a handful of teams have a better record -- Leicester, Norwich, Southampton, Swansea, and West Brom.

The total days missed this season also tells a story. At a meagre 312 days,Arsenal fall way below the Premier League average (369.6) and when directly compared to Man City (546), Liverpool (656) and Spurs (520). Even Chelsea have suffered more cumulatively days (314) with players out.

Out of the current crop of crocked stars (10) the majority are targeting a return within the next month. Only Francis Coquelin and potentially Santi Cazorla are expected to be missing past January.

There has been a steady improvement over the past few seasons. The total number of days lost to injury was down around 15 percent between 2013-14 and 2014-15, while figures from the same period last season show just how much Arsenal have improved.

- Number of injuries are down by (55 percent).

- Those injuries lasting 10 or more days have been reduced by more than half (54 percent).

- Significantly the total number of days lost to injury has seen the biggest drop from over 1200 days to a little over 300."

I wonder how much of the improvement is down to getting Diaby off the books though...

Loosing your best two midfielders in late November surely means acquisition time in January. Would love to see a Bender type player, and maybe chase after another wide player. Reus would do ;-).

What happens when we're fit again?

The current situation is basically the worst we need to plan for, so having Ramsey and Flamini as the last resort when Coquelin, Wilshere, Cazorla and Arteta are all injured is pretty satisfactory?

My preference in Jan would be to replace Arteta with someone new, he just can't stay fit and unlike Wilshere is unlikely to get better. I feel it would be a sound long-term decision that would also help us now.

I think we're agreeing as I see Bender as Arteta's replacement. Reus would just be a nice to have.

Yea on second reading I think I misinterpreted what you were saying slightly.

Bender in so we can put Arteta out to pasture, that would be fantastic.

Disclaimer: Am assuming Bender is as good as everyone claims

So maybe this weekend, if we assume kosc and theo are ready for the bench only;

                       Cech

Bellerin-Mertesacker-Gabriel-Monreal

              Flamini-Ramsey

       Campbell-Ozil-Chamberlain

                      Giroud

Looking forward to seeing the Ox come out of his shell. He is the natural replacement for Sanchez. Some great points made about it in Tim Stillman's column on Arseblog;

We weren't good, but it's 3 points at least. And the finishing was actually clinical for a change.

Watching the game though got me thinking, that's what it must be like watching United every week minus the goals.

Three for me, and two for them.

"Same old Woolwich fans. Always mocking." Funny who is without fail always the first one in here to respond to something.

Anyway, was up in Auckland all weekend for the Phoenix game and didn't take the tablet so avoided the result (easy as my partner's family are not interested so just didn't go on Facebook yesterday) and didn't get to watch it until this morning. Plan was to watch it last night when we got back but then flight was delayed 3 hours and we didn't get home until after 11 so went to bed and got up a bit early instead.

Relief to get the win and for once take advantage of other results. Nice finish from Campbell, though the dummy in the shorts thing is a bit weird! He doesn't really get involved enough but as I said before, he's done as well as could be expected for a 5th/6th choice winger. Couple of goals, an assist though did miss that awful sitter in a game we lost. Useful squad option for times like these.
