Thought I'd chosen a good day to work from home... hopefully the cricket will make it worthwhile!
Tough day all round?
OK I've just seen the goals...
First goal - Gabi was slow in pulling Lewandowski off side, and by slow I mean a fraction of a second sooner and the goal wouldn't have stood.
Second goal - Muller tucked it away near post on an acute angle after a messy header back from his team mate. Per could have tried to make himself better but that finish was as much luck as it was skill.
Third goal - Great finish from Alaba but Gabi should have put more pressure on, and Santi finally got his pocket picked trying to turn out of trouble in his defensive third.
Fourth goal - Great finish from Robben & cross from Alaba - entire defense was half a step behind there.
Girouds goal - Giroud & Sanchez showed how simple scoring should be, good cross, good control, good finish
Cazorla's miss - It was a replica opportunity of Bayern's 4th but Santi's become so good with his left it's almost like his right is chocolate.
Bayern's 5th - the fact that Gabi couldn't even offer any pressure on Mueller showed how much we'd given up by this point.
Footballs a funny thing, two goals that could just as easily not happened and it could have been a different night. But it wasn't, and now we've got a lot of sh*t to push up hill.
Thought these were all accurate:

Probably had enough chances in the second half to have won but at least we got the point in the end. What a substitution Gibbs turned out to be. Aside from the goalkeepers, pretty much the most unlikely goal scorer in the squad.
Seeing Liverpool lose and City draw made me feel a bit better about things.
Not sure why Cazorla started when he was quite obviously sick. Cost us.
Am concerned about our squad. We looked half dead. Sanchez needs a break, badly, and is going to go off and play 180 mins for Chile..
We also need players back asap. Theo out was a big blow. Spoke to our current lack of depth when we brought on Gibbs and Arteta on to get the winner. (though Gibbs did suprisingly well)

He has been impressive over the last few years even pushed Mertersacker out of the lineup but that's not saying much if you're not a BFG fan.
The thing that struck me about Howedes is I saw him play LB a few times and he was really good and getting up and down so was more than just a lump CB.

Interesting. Ferdinand and Wright have also previously said our training pitches are too hard.
