Sure, that was classic Ramsey, though - an amazing goal, with amazing plays, but for the rest of the game he generally drifted out of position again. He is better coming from deeper, but he always seems to drift to the second striker position.

The new kit deal with Adidas has been confirmed. 5 year deal worth 50m pounds a year. The Puma deal was only 30m. Looking forward to seeing what design they come up with. I always liked the Adidas kits.

The old bruised banana. There was a time when people could hardly give them away on ebay years ago. I have quite a collection of Arsenal shirts and even I refused to buy one but they are worth a fortune now. Much like the famous 1989 away shirt as worn at Anfield.

They look terrible and I don't get everyone's obsession 

One of the most enjoyable games I've watched us play in years was on the weekend against Fulham. I'd personally like the away shirt similar to that of the 89 away jersey. First and foremost though, can we get the cannon changed back to facing the right direction. 

Apparently Puma had a 50m offer on the table when Addidas came in last year. Sounds like it was matched, but not bettered which goes some one to highlighting that this was as much about commercial outcomes as it was about picking a kit fans would love.

I'm surprised that the kit designers haven't run competitons for fan submissions given the quality of mock ups like that which come through.

brands own their image and perception too much to allow it i reckon. 

Sure, but you don't have to commit if it sucks.

Ask for submissions and offer a prize for the best one judged by Addidas' designers including the chance to consult on the designs.

Usually they want to make designs that can be used for other clubs as well - most of it is templated. 

anyone know anything about this MLS kid we have supposedly signed on a pre contract? I think hes an attack mid, but don't know much else... or whether its even true.

Know nothing about him. But his team owner just publicly said Arsenal will need to pay 3x more than what is being quoted in the media (12m pounds or so).

Kolasinac has asked for a break from the Bosnian team this window to focus on his fitness. Thankfully it'll mean he should be in a solid position to cover Monreal some more. AMN can't be far away from a return too. 

Nelson sounds looks like he isn't get heaps of time at Hoffenheim but when he does he's doing well. 1 start and 2 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga, and 1 substitute appearance in the Champions League for a total of 100 minutes and 2 goals. 

Yeah, I think I read it in an Arsenal magazine that I have at home. I'll try and find it. From memory, he got a pretty rubbish prize as well. The person who won was only a kid at the time hence probably why he designed a dinosaur as the mascot.

Wish Torreira got a break, too - got hacked a lot v Fulham and had strapping around his ankle.

Last window he shot off to Texas for a game against Mexico, this window he's all the way to South Korea and Japan.

Next window should be better as they play Brazil at the Emirates, and against France at the Stade de France.

I am sick to death of the Europa League. The fixture times friggin suck now. 

Look at our schedule until the end of November, this is all in NZ time;

For me there is only one game not in work/commute time.

Some how I dont think they are thinking if the NZ'r gunners when they are scheduling these games, Fark me, the FFA don't even think about us when they are scheduling the Nix games!

I'm more concerned about the playing schedule. A game every three days until mid November. That's tough. I'm sure the squad will be rotated for those cup games

It's just because we're in the Europa League, meaning our EPL games tend to be Monday morning affairs. 

So instead of slightly friendlier Wednesday/Thursday Champions League kick-offs, and Saturday night premier league games, we tend to get late Friday morning kick-offs and Monday morning premier league games, which are just so much more painful for me personally...

It will be really tough, but if we could get top 4 and back into the big league, I would be so happy. 

Really think if we could get back into the Top 4/CL, this club would go forward in leaps and bounds.

We're in the UK for 4 of those games which will be a bloody nice change. Not making any of them live, but just being in the right time zone helps a lot.

This interlull is frustrating as. Hopefully the Monday/Tuesday kick off gives us the extra rest needed. Fingers crossed no injuries to date this window and no more to happen!

EDIT: any idea why we're playing Monday?

Looking at the EPL fixtures there are 8 games on the Saturday, 1 game on the Sunday and then us on the Sunday. Last International matches are played Wednesday (3 international friendlies involving USA, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile - none of which include any of our players). 

No apparent reason. Tv I presume. 

Gives us less time to turn around for the Europa League too. 

And this just happens to occur on Labour Day weekend, when for once a Sunday night game is usually comfortable to watch as I have no work on the Monday. 

So annoying. 

Update: got tickets for the Mrs & I for the home match against Blackpool in the league cup. Super cheap, only $80NZD for both of us for decent views too. Still working on Liverpool though, although hopes aren't high at all.

Looks like Sokratis twisted his ankle, full assessment pending. Unfortunate timing given the run of games coming up. Mavropanos and Kosc are still injured, which leaves us Mustafi, Holding, and Monreal at a push. Less than ideal when you're facing Liverpool and Porto in that run too.

Lets hope it's not too serious.

In some happier news, I see Leno was in the German squad. He's obviously behind Neuer and Ter Stegen, and Germany suck now, but still, that's good for him.

Seems like it's a sprain, certain to at least miss Leicester. Bloody annoying. Fek off International breaks.

In better news, AMN and Ozil are back in training

So probably Mustafi and Holding for now. Perhaps Monreal will need to play some CB and Kolasinac will come in at LB. 

Koscielny still probably a month away. 

AMN coming back offers some cover at Left Back for Kolasinac which relieves Monreal to cover CB.

Not ideal for either AMN or Monreal but it'll work I guess.
