No, its simple really - 4 years in Newcastle, 4 years in Essex as a young un. Family would be Toon Army by choice (brother is a Geordie by birthright). My first Div 1 game was at WHL, Spurs vs Man City (score was 2-3 to those dirty, cheating Mancs) and watched a few invitation spurs games for charridy.
Moved back to NZ and have almost forgotten what football was like until we"discovered" the nix and YF last year.
So IF I had to choose I'm Yiddo first and foremost, but a closet Geordie wannabe. But in reality when they play each other I don't mind the result (even if there's a lot riding on it for one team) as long as they don't end up injuring each other.

Well, that was how things panned out for me. We've got fond memories of both places and as a fan you take the good with the bad and recently with the bad, the bad and the more bad.

I can report that the B team had a productive shooting practice in Donny.
Great to see Giovani having a run. Bentley even seems to have put on a good show against the mighty Doncaster.

The O'Hara one is interesting isn't it? Loan him out 'til Christmas, by which time fixture pile up and possibilities of inquries in the middle of the park could see O'Hara walking straight in to first team contention.

Both Boateng and Chimbonda were loaned out last season so can see why they have been transferred to other clubs.
O'Hara loan looks quite a canny move, unless injuries come a bit too early. Good move I think. He's only 22 but needs games to develop.

Absolutely stoked with that boys, well done. We really had to get max points from that game which will give us confidence heading into our games against the Mancs and Chelsea. Lennon is looking very dangerous this year.

Actually it was the only decent thing he did, and even he would have struggled not to make that pass. I used to think we should keep him, but i reckon now is the time to cash in, get around 10m quid for him, and use it elsewhere.
He had about 3 or 4 horrible other touches where he reminded me of a baby giraffe taking its first steps.

It's a big blow with Luka out for 6 weeks but don't be suprised to see Keane play in that position and Crouch partner Defoe up front. Jenas is very close to returning and Giovanni Dos Santos is in the picture much more this season. Bale is injured which would be a natural replacement and with O'Hara on loan means we can't afford anymore injures.

Ohh. Thats Ryan's old nickname, isn't it.
I wasn't clicking on the fact that Chimbonda had moved to the Rovers because he was sort of part of the Tottenham furniture.
I really don't think it will hasten his return tbh. He's too valuable to let go on his leadership alone. In fact, he would great for the Spurs lineup, if he decides to go away from Rovers (unlikely - but a guy can dream, tho). But somehow I think that maybe Chimbonda is slowing down a bit.
I'm nervous about the next two games against Man U at home and especially Chelsea away. Really nail biting moments ahead I see.

Yep - these will be "benchmark /acid test" games. But, injuries aside it's probably the best time to try it on. The team is on a roll, they've shown that they can foot it with the supposed havies (pyul at least).
And if the dream start falter in the next few weeks, they've got plenty of the season to make up for it.
After last season you've got to be happy with things (Luka aside).
