I havent used it for long. I have just been watching itv on it. I did have to down load the patch,
it works on the standard windows media player, ive got 9 i think. Im also running norton 2008 and have run a virus scan and it came up all ok. the streams for itv are really good but thats prob cos not many people are online compared to footy games. it might be a bit slower.

Would you have had confidence in this line up before kick off? 1 - 2 victory away.

West Ham: Green, Neill, Upson, McCartney, Spector, Solano (Noble 76), Parker, Mullins, Ljungberg, Camara (Pantsil 85), Ashton. Subs Not Used: Wright, Dailly, Ephraim.

What an amazing result. These (above) players are performing week in and week out knowing that better players are likely to come in eventually. Isnt this the kind of player all clubs would like to have?

Compare it with the injured/suspended list:

West Ham:  Ferdinand, Gabbidon, Collins, Davenport, Quashie, Bowyer, Dyer, Etherington, Faubert, Boa Morte, Zamora, Cole, Ballamy.

Hang on in there fellas!!!

the only one in that list i would have confidence in is Camara.
I didnt see the game but it sounds like Parker had another blinder. He has been class of late. good times. Also heard Freddie played well to, and showed glimpse's of Arse days.

Great result.

Ashton paraded like a bloated whale today. I may need a bigger avatar box!!
Parker continued to improve though. Another good performance.
I think the commentators got it right regarding our attacking woes.
No Etherington, Bellamy, Boa Morte = No pace up front.

Shorey looked good, but it will be hard if he comes in to replace McCartney. He has been consistant throughout and has earned his place.

Got a West Ham calendar for Christmas. Dyer is Mr September, (injury free) and Zamora is April.
I wonder if any thoughts go into picking these guys or do they just go for the best 12 poses.
The full list starting with January 08.
Green, Neill, Ferdinand, Zamora, Noble, Parker, Lyungberg, Ashton(slim version), Dyer, McCartney, Upson and Bellamy.

Home game v ManU delayed broadcast on Sky 2 Sunday 8.15am.

the rapist's may beat us but they wont thash us there boy.

Not sure if Ashton just had a bad day at the office or just couldnt be arsed?!
Parker is on fire at the mo. its funny cole hasnt got bags of skill but gives 150% where as
Ashton has bags of skill but only gives 50%. With bellamy back and maybe another striker (?) in the Jan transfer window some players will have to compete for their spot.

Will Carlos Tevez play against us.  The fact that he was rested against Sunderland would indicate that, but..... was there a gentleman's agreement in the shady loan move to Manure?

Talk of Etherington and Bowyer being available this week but nothing about Boa Morte. Faubert starts training this week.

Given our injury crisis I would think that we are doing okay at the moment .............. BUT these guys have proved they can step up to the plate and win where required.

+'s Thought we looked good at the back, didn't think they would score when they went down to 10.

-'s Ashton has to lose some weight, he's not lean or mean enough for me.

Overall - Can't wait till we have some proper players back for us. We are lacking speed which means lobbing long balls forward to our strikers. We were slightky unlucky (wood work twice) and if only Parker hit his shot a bit harder in injury time it would have meant 3 pts.

vs Man Utd -This will be an interesting one, the draw against Reading did us no favours. I would expect a better performance but Utd still to be us. Prediction WH 0 - 2 Man Utd

Julien Faubert, Matthew Etherington and Lee Bowyer are all back in training but they will not be available for at least another week.
Wishful thinking this.
How can you get Noble back in the team. First midfielder to go would be Ljungberg, but woulnt play Noble wide. Parker is a certain selection at the moment, and Mullins defensive work is probably more essential against ManU than Noble's attacking role.

Teams

West Ham (from): Green, Neill, McCartney, Ferdinand, Upson, Ljungberg, Parker, Mullins, Solano, Ashton, Cole, Wright, Pantsil, Noble, Reid, Spector, Dailly, Camara.

Manchester United (from): Kuszczak, Heaton, Brown, Simpson, Ferdinand, Vidic, Pique, Evra, O'Shea, Fletcher, Ronaldo, Anderson, Carrick, Hargreaves, Nani, Giggs, Park, Rooney, Tevez, Saha.

Hammers beat Manure, great stuff. C.Renaldo missing a penalty, funny sh*t. Upson score winning goal, good to see he is one of my favorites.

Curbs started today with 16 fit players, including Wright.

Solano will definitly be gone for the Arsenal and Man City (FA Cup) games. Parker could be dodgy and Pantsil is due in Africa on 5 January, the day we play Man City. Their coach wants him earlier but I think we will have a reasonable case to have him against the Arse. (Incidentially Steve Arpiah, the Ghanain captain and a WHU target in August, is injured and out of the tournament).

This tournament must effect the signing of African players, knowing that they will miss a month in January.

Rumoured we are showing interest in a South Korean Striker Cho Jae-jin -. Hope he is quick.
26, 6' 1"  8 GOALS IN 28 International appearances. Newcastle have just turned him down and Fulham are also chasing.

I was pleased that Curbs had the guts to leave Ashton on the bench. I couldn't help but feel the missed shot on goal by Cole would have gone in if Ashton was our striker, but despite that I thought Cole was probably our best player.

Ljungberg is average. Enough said.

Mullins has been the unsung hero all season.

Mullins has been the unsung hero all season.

Mullins is the unsung hero most seasons, he tends to go about his business well and isn't noticed. We only have a bad result when he isn't playing well.

An excellent result to which I had us down for a loss. In all honesty we were the better team, if we had lost that one it would have been disappointing for all. Now if we had beaten Reading, Bolton and Wigan we would be more comfortable.

Throught Pantsil had his best game since joining us. Can't remember the last time two centre backs scored for us. Solano was once again superb and thought our midfield was wonderful. Back 4 didn't have that much to do.

Hope they can do the same at the Arse but typically we get more and more injuries the more we play.

Mak Noble was fantastic, he's got a real future. Do you think Freddie Ljunberg feels like he made the right call in the summer? He looks like his heart isn't in it any more...what a result especially with the injuries suffered during the match and that patched up midfield.

I thought Carlos Tevez getting a standing ovation from the Hammers' fans immediately before the start of the ManU match was absolutely brilliant - real emotional moment.

0-0 v Man City

Good result with what players we have missing ??

Bad result considering what we already have done with this team plus keeping a clean sheet at home ??

Ashton - played crap
Everyone else seemed to play okay, no midfield bite though. Good to see Etherington and Bowyer backin the squad.
Neill replaced by Spector (is this the end of captain for our Aussie)

West Ham: Green, Neill (Spector 46), Ferdinand, Upson, McCartney, Pantsil, Noble, Mullins (Bowyer 75), Etherington (Reid 69), Ashton, Cole.
Subs Not Used: Wright, Collins.

Still in the hat so makes me happy that we in the draw for the 4th round.

Sheffield United away in the cup if we beat City. Bring it on.

Hi Frankie Mac. Hope things are good in Leeds.

THE REASON WE ONLY NEED SHOREY IN THE JANUARY WINDOW
                                                       Green
                                                       Wright
                                                       Walker

Neil                     Ferdinand                          Upson                                     McArtney
Spector              Gabbidon                           Collins                                     xxxxxx
Pantsil                Davenport

Solano             Parker                              Noble                                  Etherington
Faubert           Mullins                              Bowyer                               Boa Morte
Lungjberg        Dailly                                Collinson                             Reid

                          Ashton                              Bellamy
                          Cole                                  Zamora

Quashie and Camara are surplus. Why do we need Barnes, Bent or Defoe?
The other signings we seem to be linked with are mainly youth players with potential.
The only thing that would change my opinion above would be if Bellamy and Zamora didnt recover before end of January. At worst, Spector is capable of covering the back four.

Looks like I am  the only guy still on holiday.
Reserves conceeded two late goals (87 and 90) to lose 2-1.
Faubert played a very good 45 minutes. Collins and Davenport 90 minutes and Boa Morte 63min.
Villa Captain , Harewood tripped over the ball with keeper to beat and limped off after 73 minutes shaking his head. Some things dont change. This is WHU first loss in 6 games and Villa are top of the league.

Add Nugent and Haynes (Ipswich) to the list of players being approached and delete Bent.

Now back to work you guys.

We've got new owners and 12 mill to spend, you'll need a bigger cheque book to take Haynes than was required for most of the Ipswich players sold in the last 5 years.

Any of you Hammers guys likely to go to the Four Kings Saturday nIght to watch the game.  My Wife is out of town for the weekend and I thought it could be worth a trip in from Kapiti. Not looking at a late one, but would be good to catch up with some of you. We can gloat about still being in the cup, getting another crack at them this weekend, and having the opportunity to play Liverpool when they are down. Not to mention the Curbs Calamity, which one do I pick and which one do I drop???
