Nice win over Villareal.  It's not that long ago that we were admitting it was no shame to lose to them!  And Falcao upped his bid to be highest scorer not playing for Barcelona or Real.
 
What are your feelings about Simeone, El-Ni�o?

Yup, Falcao is good at scoring and long may that last. But I love Adrian- that kid is some player. Good win overall though, and hope that can continue, although the real test will be when we leave the Calderon and travel away!
 
Simeone, well. Where to start? He'll make us even less popular with the rest of Spain (not that we care ), as he was an important (albeit horrible) part of a superb Atleti team. I like him though- he's a twat but he's our twat (don't watch any of his tackles, mind). Remains to be seen whether his managerial credentials will be enough, but hopefully he can motivate the players as there is a lot of potential in that team. Overall, I'm pleased with his appointment though, hopefully will be an improvement!

On fire at the moment but a huge match against Osasuna to be played. Away, but at least we finally won away last week against Sociedad.. Falcao with another hatrick! Getting nervous though, this will be a good test for us

quite possibly, but our dawns are as changeable as the Auckland weather  will be a tough game though, we could get found out. massive game, especially with, I think, Valencia at home after it? crucial time- gotta get back in a place for Europe!

City seem pretty happy with Ag�ero, and Madrid are batting their eyes at Van Persie.
 
More intriguingly, there's a rumor that Chelsea wants Falcao.  They're offering 50 million and some guy named after an ABBA number.

First goal in La Liga we've conceded under him too! We've looked good tbf. Gabi has been brilliant, as has Godin. Not sure what you call it tbh, hasn't happened too often in my lifetime!
 
But yup, happy days. Only drew this morning, but given our fantastic result in Italy, and Gijon isn't an easy place to go to, we'll take that. Still very happy to be an Atleti fan at the moment!

No, this is a good performance.  Hard-working, tough, determined - and despite the possession, Atleti has more shots at goal.
 
And, from an "Italian" perspective, the Catalans were getting very frustrated and looking to kick back rather than rely on the official.  With the resources in play, this fixture is virtually unwinnable as a game - but if Simeone can turn it into a fight, the points are there for the taking.

Not a bad point though, need to keep working hard. Besiktas next in Europa league! Need get a really good lead in the first leg, cos Turkey isn't an easy place to go to. Vamos Atleti!

3-1 full time vs Besiktas. Not bad.. Of course Simao had to score. Still a lot of work to do in the second leg after conceding the away goal- but happy enough with that! Vamos Atleti!

Falcao was immense, and must be seen as the best mortal goal-scorer in La Liga this season.
 
As for the game, I think it was more about Athletic having no squad depth.  Not a bad performance by Atleti, though.

Atleti have so much to play for, their home fans behind them, and the top two pressure is really on this year - the derby will be mental.  Hope the officials are up for it!  I predict a very bad-tempered draw.

Well, our record in el derbi isn't good at all, so a draw wouldn't even be a bad result. But the officials will be up for it- out to help Real as usual
 
But with Simeone I think maybe we have a chance. We have to be so good at the back and ruthless up front. A massive ask, but I can't wait. Going to get very drunk and watch it!!! VAMOS ATLETI!
