Apologies again that this is off topic, happy to redirect if someone can point me in the right direction just didn't think it was worth starting a new thread.

That's okay, it's nice to have some company in here every now and then! Good luck in sorting some tickets- would be great to go to a game.

Apparently Spurs put a bigger bid but Villa prefered Athletico

Who wouldn't want to work under Cholo?

Yup, for the price we've got him for, got to be happy. Hopefully can get him back fit and hungry for success. He's some player. We've added him and Leo from Rayo to our attack (to go with the brilliant Diego Costa). Still hope we can bring in another boss centre forward to fully replace Falcao. We should have plenty to spend, but will keep my eyes on that...

Hopefully we can bring Diego back. Not really sure now though. We are paying off so much debt, we probably won't see much of the Falcao money... Sigh.

As an aside, the Atleti handball team went into liquidation because of debts :( We were champions not long ago.

We've got Demichelis on a free. Good, experienced player. Definitely an upgrade on Cata Diaz, who I believe has gone back to Argentina.

Still haven't seen any serious money spent. I suspect it will predominantly be used to pay off all our debts etc. Would love to bring Diego back though.

Villa with a wonderful goal on debut in the friendly against Las Palmas. Long may that continue!

First game away against Sevilla today. Going to be tough.

1-3 away win against Sevilla. Brilliant result in what was always going to be a tough game to open the season. Diego Costa with two, and the Onion with one right at the end. Love this team. Simeone has us playing to the maximum potential.

Ahead of Real Madrid ;)

1-1 draw against Barca in the Supercup at the Calderon. Would have to think that's all over haha. Villa scored a brilliant goal.

Beat Rayo 5-0 today too. Looking good. Apparently trying to bring Mata in on loan, which would be great.

3 wins from 3 in the league. Two tough away games in Real Sociedad and Sevilla. And two draws against Barcelona in the Super Cup where we hardly looked second best... Have to be happy with this start to the season. Villa very impressive today with a goal and an assist.

Courtois is the best goalkeeper in the world, by the way.

4 wins from 4 (level with Barcelona at the top of La Liga) and a game in the Champion's League tomorrow. Love it.

Real Madrid - Atletico  0-1

Congrats again, mate. I know how these wins are valuable for you

Amazing, amazing start to the season. We've won every game, except for two against Barcelona in the Super Cup (which ended 1-1 and 0-0).

Most sweet was the win against Madrid in the Bernabeu, of course. Diego Costa is on absolute fire, more goals than Messi and Ronaldo at the moment. Loved the game against Porto as well. Down 1-0 at halftime, but a late Arda Turan winner gave us a valuable 3 points in the Champion's League.

Courtois is the best keeper in the world right now. There, I said it. Need to do everything possible to get this guy from Chelsea permanently.

Simeone has done amazing things with this team. Can't describe just how great a man he is.

I genuinely couldn't be less arsed what you think of him.
